Liked: It was very clean and it had a good atmosphere. Staff were friendly and the other travelers were too. Right in the centre of Madrid, perfect for sightseeing and-or parying.

Liked: The staff was incredibly helpful to me. I had a late flight and was having a mild panic attack on the metro ride over to the hostel because I forgot to check the hours that I could check in. Fortunately my fears were unfounded because when I entered into the office/lounge I was greeted by a massive crowd of people with an "Are you coming out with us?" I replied that I just wanted to check in but I did appreciate that welcome. But I digress, it was definitely one of my favorite hostels that I have stayed in so far. Also it being located just off of Sol is absolutely the best place that a hostel could possibly be situated in Madrid. Also also, the morning that I was checking out they were offering free churros and chocolate in the kitchen area. Great hostel!

Liked: Being the very center of the hostel and the friendliness of staff is great.

Liked: Great location. Having a kitchen on both floors was good.

Disliked: I got bed bugs on my legs and arm (really, really bad around my feet). I notified the hostel once I realised what it was and they said that they would close down the room to get rid of them (this promptness is definitely a positive). The showers were only ever had luke-warm water, not hot at all which was quite annoying given I was staying there in November when the weather was getting fairly cold - having a barely warm at this time of year is not fun. THe bottom of the showers were also dirty, with hair and dirt floating about. The beds didn't have individual lamps and the rooms were quite cramped with tiny lockers to use. Also, given the Hostel One in Barcelona and Granada offer a free dinner / breakfast respectively, it would be good if Hostel One in Madrid offered a meal for free. Although there was free tea and coffee, there was no free milk available and the black tea never got replaced which ran out 1 day into our stay.

Liked: Great atmosphere, clean, easy access to computers although the internet went out a few times. Nice common areas and pretty friendly staff.

Liked: The staff was very friendly. Also, they made a delicious yet affordable meal for everyone who was staying in the hostel and created a sense of community/ promoted social interactions among the guests.

Liked: Cosy and felt like home. Good facilities, really nice showers. Beds were comfortable and staff were really helpful! Free sangria nights!

Disliked: No free breakfast. Nowhere to put our suitcases in the room so everyone just had theirs lying around. Just a small point because everything else was great.

Liked: the people it was very very friendly and really worried about you! very personalized, very clean, the location is awesome.

Liked: It is in a great location, right next to Sol and Opera, so you can reach easily and without any fuss any point of tourist interest.

Disliked: There are basically a few big apartments that build up this `hostel`. Basically you have all you need, however it is disorganized, have no elevator, so you have to carry all your stuff to the 3rd floor.
