Liked: It was really international, really cosy, and of course in the center of madrid. The staff was so helpfull and friendly... Highly recommended!

Disliked: The only problem is that there is no elevator in the building.

Liked: Free internet, good large kitchen

Disliked: Rooms were very small for the number of people in them, and there was a cockroach in our room.

Liked: 1. Friendly staff - They offered tips on where to go for free museum times and local places to eat. 2. Great place to meet other travelers! 3. Fantastic kitchen/dining area devoted to cooking your own meals. 4. Computer/wifi access was always available - Was able to stay connected with friends and family through the internet the entire trip. 5. Fantastic location - Near main tourist area and a close walk/metro ride to nearby more "local" areas.

Disliked: 1. Showers - Tiny and not very accommodating. 2. Area around the hostel shuts down around 10pm since it's more of a tourist area. 3. Can be loud if you are a light sleeper.

Liked: They had 6 PCs available for use and free wifi. The kitchen was fully equipped and the location was very central.

Disliked: The toilets were not too clean at times. Some receptionists were more helpful than others. Breakfast was not included.

Liked: Great loaction, right off of Sol which is the heart of Madrid. The staff was super nice and helpful. Great place to meet people. The common area and kitchen are always full of people. My friend and I had a blast here!

Disliked: The common room is right people's room so late at night you have to be really quite if you are out there. Also, there were quite a lot of older people when we stayed there which means they complain a lot about noise.

Liked: Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Nice to have separate bathrooms and good internet setup.

Disliked: bathrooms could have been a little cleaner. not the most social hostel.

Liked: common areas were all spotless and everything was well run. staff was very friendly and helpful. unbeatable location, central to everything. extremely good value.

Disliked: can be difficult to find, as there is no sign outside - only a small note taped up where the doorbell is. it's on the fourth (?) floor with no lift, which can be a bit of a pain arriving.

Liked: Location was fantastic. The hostel also had 6 computers avaliable for free internet access (plus wifi)

Disliked: The common areas were a bit spread out, so it made it sort of difficult to meet people. The rooms became suffocatingly hot at night, even after reception gave us an air conditioner. There was only one temp choice on the showers and it was not that warm.

Liked: The location is excellent and staff and guests were friendly and helpful. I was probably twice the age of most of the other guests and the staff, but I felt welcome. I should mention that I like youth and noise does not bother me. The hostel is not terribly noisy, but it is a young crowd. Everyone was friendly and happy to share dinner, recommendations, company.

Disliked: Room was really tight. also I prefer when there is 24-hour staff available.

Liked: The location was amazing. It is a few blocks from the mainmain center square and not far from many other attractions. It was also a great place to meet people and go out.

Disliked: Because it is located in the center square it is very loud and noisy all night which makes it difficult to sleep.

Liked: Hostel was very central. Maybe 4 mins from Sol subway station which is essentially the centre of the city. Staff were friendly and helpful about where to go/ where to purchase stuff for reasonable prices.

Disliked: Lockers were not overly secured (but nothing ended up happening so moot point). Also not all rooms face outside so our room got quite hot/ stuffy (our room just had a small window facing the hallway.

Liked: Most of the people we met there were really cool and fun and the kitchen had pretty good facilities Location was great.

Disliked: We saw a cockroach in the hallway on the bottom floor just inside the front door of the building, the first shower I took was really cold, the place was not very good for getting much sleep, and it has an early checkout. The pots and pans were poor quality and worn out.

Disliked: One morning, there was a cold shower. Also some renovation was going in the same building, so it was little bit noisy after 8am.

Liked: Really friendly, and very central.

Disliked: It was very noisy all through the night-not inside the hostel, but the noise on the streets!

Liked: Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere with a location that really can´t be beaten. Staff were really helpful, rooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

Disliked: Reception closed at 10pm which meant that anyone with a key was able to let friends into the hostel. Breakfast would have been nice, but considering the price it´s no wonder that it´s not included.

Liked: Loved the location (though with all of Spain do watch your bag!) and family home feel of the hostel. You would often see people just hanging out on the sofa's and we met a lot of people that way! Be sure to check out the pubcrawl offered!

Disliked: nothing to comment, I enjoyed it all.

Disliked: the common place is too close to the rooms, impossible to sleep while people are playing drinking game in the kitchen room is a bit small, locker is very small

Liked: I stayed here two years ago and didn't hesitate to stay here again. Staff are very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. Facilities are clean and modern. With six computers, there's never a long wait to check one's e-mail. However bring earplugs....the neighbourhood is fairly noisy.

Disliked: Nothing. I am coming back in a few weeks' time before flying home from Madrid!
