Liked: The place was very clean and there were not a lot of people, so I never had to wait in line for the showers. It is good value for the money, as the price is quite low, but of course it is not in central Madrid
Disliked: The location. But for my husband and I, it wasn't a problem as we took the 20 min. walk from the hostel to the metro station and stayed in the center of Madrid all day and only came home to sleep.

Liked: Staff were OK
Disliked: The hostel was located about 35 mins outside of the city centre in an industrial district with limited public transport. Not a good location for anyone visiting Madrid, nor did we feel very safe in and around the hostel. Find somewhere else to stay.

Liked: it was clean.
Disliked: the location was awful. it was in the middle of no where. it was also advertised that everyone spoke english. well that was not the case because when we were checking out the guy at the window had no idea what we were saying even though i was handing him the keys.

Liked: It was clean, and we had a nice room to ourselves.
Disliked: Way too far away. Sure, stay at the cheapest hostel but then end up paying way more in bus and metro tolls. It´s not worth it. Just pay a few more bucks for a place much closer... Literally, you are in the middle of no where.. You can´t walk to anything. Its in an industrial area with no food, bars, or shops around.

Liked: Room was clean. Parking was reasonably priced and in underground secure car park.
Disliked: Property is pretty much what is advertised on site - we only chose this property as it had reasonably priced secure car parking. Hostel seems to have a large number of people as perminant residents - quite like a half way house. Hence didn't feel that safe. 25 minute walk to the subway/train - once there easy access into town but the whole process takes about 50 minutes if things are timed well. I wouldn't want to be doing this walk if I was a solo female traveller. Kitchen facilities are poor - cutlery, a toaster and a microwave oven (not that the atmosphere is conducive to going down and cooking anyway). Female bathrooms were clean but male had two showers out of order, two urinals out of order and a toilet blocked to overflowing. Would only recommend staying here as a last resort. A few extra dollars would be well spent to stay elsewhere.

Liked: it was clean...
Disliked: rediculously out of the way. if you plan on getting back past 11 without a cab... good luck. if you want a night with a farely empty room out of the center for cheap then fine but know you are going to be in the middle of know-where with almost no kitchen facilities with no-one to talk to.

Liked: The room was big and had lockers. There were enough bathrooms and showers.
Disliked: The shower was clogged with the world's largest hairball that the cleaners hadn't bothered to remove. I had to pick it out with a hairpin. Gross. The lobby of the hostel looked like a homeless shelter with all sorts of people who looked like they spend their days on the streets drunk and begging. The hostel itself is located deep into an industrial park. It was a little disconcerting overall.

Liked: One of the best hostels we´ve been, it´s almost an hotel. It´s very clean and organized. There was no air conditioner, but that´s not what I expect to find in a hostel – however, there should be a fan. I´d recommend HWelcome to everyone.
Disliked: Pay attention: it´s really far from city centre. The metro takes almost 30 minutes to Sol – the main station – and the nearest station to the hostel is more than 2km far. You can take a bus from the hostel to the Sierra de Guadalupe Station, but the last one rides at 11:15pm.

Liked: It' very clean!
Disliked: It's too too too FAR from the city center of Madrid and not in a turistic place, good only if you have a car! It is not really a hostel for youth, young people.. where you can meet other travelers and share experiences! There is a bus to the Hostel but it doesn't pass so often and if you have to walk you well see really an industry zone!

Liked: Very strange industrial area but definitely an interesting perception of Madird. Met a lot of friendly people and had a comfortable stay.
Disliked: It's kinda far out on the metro and then you're forced to either walk or attempt to catch a bus going in it's relative direction. Not a lot of bars or restaurants nearby.

Liked: clean, only spanish people there so I could improve my spanish, got a single room though I only paid for a dorm bed
Disliked: it is literally in the middle of nowhere, from the center of madrid (sol) you need to take the metro (25min) then walk by foot (25min)...if you account for the transport costs and the time you lose just getting to the place, I would recommend to pay 3€ more for a hostel in the center of madrid

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. I wish I could say more for the facility, but that was just about the only positive.
Disliked: It was really really hot with no air movement. I was unable to sleep. It had the air of an abandoned college dorm at Christmas time. It was a vast facility with very few people. The common spaces were alright but more commercial than comfy. Internet was available for 1 Euro, which wasn't too bad, but the internet was quite slow. For the cost I think you're better off going for a hostel in downtown which required no metro (and 20 minute walking) that might also have free internet.

Liked: There was a very friendly girl in the reception, she was the only one who spoke english so that you could understannd what she wants and she could even speak french!!! Very nice person
Disliked: 1. You have to take the metro for about 15 min and after that you have to take the bus to arrive to the hostel 2. Nothing arround, no supermarket near the hostel, NOTHING 3. No kitchen only a microwaven oven, so we were forced to eat there (menu for 8 euros), no fridge... 4. There was supposed to be WIFI free, yes you have wifi for free but in fact it don't even works half of the time you are there. So if you need internet (like we do to plan the rest of our holidays) yoou have big problems or you have to pay again, to use there computer....
