Liked: I liked the 24 hr staffing of reception. The hostel felt very secure and safe due to being small and having a secure stairwell entrance. The private shower was useful and the location was handy for everything Madrid has to offer.

Disliked: Air conditioning would be nice in the summer. It's also on a street with a lot of prostitutes but we never felt threatened by them or their clients during our stay, it just might be a little intimidating for lone travellers. Quite hard to find on arrival as well.

Liked: Easy to get to; close to tourist areas and transportation; quiet.

Disliked: Street does not show up on online maps. Get off at metro station Callao and ask for a mp from the tourist office in the plaza and ask them to show you how to get there. The street is approx across from the H&M clothing store closest to the metro statio Callao. Another note: about half a block away there are prostitutes. The area is safe, even for a single female to walk around.

Liked: Very quiet and private for a hostel. Staff were accommodating despite speaking basic english. Located on fourth floor but in very close proximity to many tourist locations.

Disliked: Very little, good to be located downtown and quiet. Meeting people was minimal but at this time was not what we were after so it was ok.

Liked: Location was really good

Disliked: Room was quite hot and we had to request a fan from the reception. Also, the shower was in the room, and there's not alot of privacy when we're showering.

Liked: Good location. Only a few minute walk from the metro station. You have to go up using an elevator to where the hostel is located. There's a free wifi connection.

Liked: The location is fantastic, near Callao tube station, Gran Via avenue, some nightclubs, FNAC e Corte Ingles (2 megastores of books, CDs, eletronics and all that stuff)Internet Wireless in the room.The guy who received us was very helpful and friendly despite the fact he didn't speak English (so train your Spanish), but he showed the best (and cheaper places to eat, to buy, to go out, and was right!Is private room, so is safe and it's clean too. Our room was close to the toilet and we didn't have any problem (the shower is inside the room).It's simple but I recommend!

Disliked: The staff didn't speak English, just Spanish and Italian and when we arrive he was over the phone with a friend and we were waiting him to check us in. But he was very friendly and helpful later.

Liked: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were really clean and had great facilities - shower in the room, safe, comfortable, tv - and the rooms were a good size, and cleaned every day. A great deal for a hostel and I really enjoyed my stay. The location is great in the centre of town.

Disliked: There are always prostitutes standing outside the front door to the building, due to the "sauna" next door.

Liked: The rooms were nice, free wifi

Disliked: It was impossible to find at night. We spent an hr and a half walking around the Grand Via area looking for it. Email to get proper directions before you go because the ones on here aren't helpful. When we tried to call the hostel no one spoke english and no one in the street spoke english/ knew where it was. Come prepared with directions!!

Liked: The location of the hostel is perfect, right in the city centre of Madrid, just 15 meters from the main street Gran Via. The staff is very friendly and helpful. the facilities are really good and rooms are comfy and cosy. I would deffinitely advise my friends to stay there if they visit Madrid.

Liked: Has a very homey feel. Not luxurious but its nice to crash for a night or two. Really good location on a big street. Has a nightlife and is very safe. Would highly recommend if you don't mind that you're getting a 2 star hotel / hostel accommodations for the price you are paying.
