Liked: had a four person room to ourselves (2 people), good breakfast, exercise bikes, and bathroom in room.

Liked: Aj Madrid was very clean. The rooms were large with lockers and the bathroom was great. They have a nice lounge area with a great selection of DVDs to chill out to, and computers with free internet. The only things which were a bit of a problem were:1. The hostel is advertised as "AJ Madrid", but actually "AJ" stands for something in Spanish. The hostel is signed in its Spanish name, so we walked past the hostel so many times trying to find "AJ Madrid". We were not the only ones to do so.2. There is no fridge (to store your food if you are buying food) and the only cooking facility available is a microwave.

Liked: This hostel is very new, clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is a little distant from the main action in Madrid (Sol) which can be good or bad depending on what you like. Fortunately, the Metro in Madrid is very efficient and cheap so you can get anywhere pretty fast. The closest Metro stop is less than a km away.

Liked: we love it...this is the best hostel we ever stayed...it is a brand new hostek...only open for 10 months...which explains its superb facilities and cleanliness...the staff were very helpful and nice...breakfast were great as well....we even extended our stay here into 2 nights...worth value of money...
