Liked: It was really conducive to meeting new people. The location was nice as well. Staff was reasonably friendly. Also, I liked the free walking tour. I had Harriet as a guide -she was GREAT! So funny and engaging. I felt bad because I only had 5euros left and couldn't give her a tip, but she definitely deserved it! If anyone reading this goes on the tour, give her an extra euro for me!

Disliked: Definitely a YOUTH hostel. It was kind of gross. I'm pretty sure they don't wash the comforters, and the kitchen area is pretty filthy most of the time. Also, the smoking area is right outside the kitchen and there is no door, so the smoke can just come right in while you're eating. Also, the locks are really tricky at first. Can be very loud. Also, there are quite a few rules, but they really don't seem to be enforced very well. One was "no drunk people on the premises, yet they sponsored events with unlimited drinks. Doesn't make much sense to me. Not the best hostel in the world, but it sufficed.

Liked: the hostel organised different activities for each day, most of them free, the rest at discount

Disliked: the common area was quite small, especially for the activities they organised in it, and the wifi only worked in a limited area

Liked: At first I arrived to a 2 bedded room, staff changed me there, and that room wasnt good at all, had no window and it was REALLY smal!! Then I changed to a 4 bed dorm and it was really nice! So if you stay there you should ask for a 4 bedded dorm, they are great!

Disliked: Nothing really, just the 2 bed room !

Liked: The staff is really helpfull. The bedrooms are clean, there are separated bathrooms by gender in each floor, the hostel is well located and you can easily walk to the touristic points. Is a really nice place to meet people, the hostel organizes free walking-tours, drinking games, tapas night and other stuff to entretains everybody. This tour was the funniest I ever been. Would stay there again without a problem,

Liked: Situacion

Disliked: habitacion demasiado bulliciosa, con un olor muy desagradable al dormir, muy poco baños para todos los alojados la recepcionista poco agradable, tuve que esperar a hacer el booking, no proporciona información de ningún tipo los frigorificos de la cocina estan muy viejos y no hay cupo, parece ser hay comida almacenada de hace mucho tiempo nadie lo limpia

Liked: The location was absolutely perfect in terms of walking distance to all of the tourist areas, markets, and shops in Madrid. I certainly enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of the hostel. The staff were overall friendly and helpful whenever we needed information regarding traveling around the city. And most importantly, I was very appreciative of the planned activities that were offered, such as the free guided tours, sangria night, the flamenco show, and tapas night. However, for the flamenco show, I was hoping for more dancers to perform than just one person. Also, I wished that there was more food offered at tapas night. Besides from the location, the price and safety of the hostel were highly important considerations for me. This hostel offers very affordable prices, which makes it much easier for student travelers, and the security precautions, particularly the individual lockers, make it very safe as well. There is even a kitchen in case people wanted to save money and cook for themselves instead of eating out. There are also washing machines and dryers, which are particularly useful for those who have been traveling for awhile and need to do laundry. The best thing of all is the FREE WIFI!!!

Disliked: The only thing that I disliked about the hostel were the loud occupants during the night. However, this incidence occurred one night out of the six days that I had stayed here.

Liked: This is the best place to meet people on spot. Many activities. Clean! Not awkward at all. You'll never have to stay in and be bored, only if you want to be, and even then you'll chill out while eating pizza from the 24 hr pizza place next store.

Disliked: Wet in bathroom, but clean. All good.

Disliked: - Wifi only works near the front desk - Unclean - They made me switch beds halfway through my stay. So I had to check out at 10:30, and could only get into my new room at 14:30 - Cleaning staff are rude - Noisy hostel - Dorky fake watch key

Liked: Fun place to meet other people and good activities

Disliked: I hated the showers, because the doors are transparent and you don't have space to change your clothes. The bathroom gets all wet after the shower.

Liked: Excellent location, and although there is no bar which usually is the best way to meet people, they have a lot of social activities going on. The pubcrawl and free sangria night were a lot of fun and Katia the activities director is pretty cool!

Disliked: It's not the cleanest place in the world and the breakfast is fairly poor but basic. The showers also work like taps in public toilets - you push a button and it runs for a couple of minutes and stops which is fine but you end up getting jets of cold water in the midst of your shower... Not the best and i didn't feel all that clean at the end of it all but as I said, the location and friendliness makes up for it. Good for short stays but I wouldn't stay longer than about 3 days.

Liked: Great walking tour available. A little different, but the locks on the lockers are nice. Free use of computers. Fresh fruit at breakfast.

Disliked: Bathrooms were not a good experience. Three shower stalls, three toilets, and three sinks in one very small bathroom- and it got crowded. The shower flooded almost immediately, there was no place to put your stuff, and the floor was dirty. The ladders to the top bunks were also awkward.

Liked: Great location and security. Clean toilets and beds, and very helpful staff. The hostel also organises activities such as a free city walk, and also flamenco for a reasonable price. A very good place to stay for many days! Highly recommended! :)

Liked: i liked the location. the free guided tour through Madrid was really great, and the flamengo show was also really great to see and good valeu for money.

Disliked: the badroom, was really small, when you'll sit on the toilet your knees are almost outside te room. the tappas tour was bad, the group was to large, and because of that it was a mess.

Liked: I really enjoyed the organized tour.

Disliked: The hostel was quite noisy. It seems as if sound really echoes in the building and gets amplified. I also wish the kitchen and common room remained open after 11 pm.

Liked: Good location

Disliked: Always a wait for the batheroom - there were only 2 stalls on our floor which was not nearly enough... this is a huge hostel and should have more bathroom facilities. You will end up climbing the stairs trying to find an open bathroom, sometimes with no luck. Also, the 4 person room was incredibly small.. no windows... very cramped, stuffy... not comfortable at all.
