Liked: Very clean, like a hotel, great facilities. Very good location, less than 10min walk from Sol Metro. Safeboxes provided in the room. Quiet and peaceful part of Puerta del Sol.

Disliked: staff speak limited english

Liked: Very central. Friendly. Clean

Disliked: all ok if you are not to sensitiv about noise in a central place. In the night you can here some noise from the street but its not to bad.

Liked: A wonderful location for experiencing Madrid. A good sized room with an outlook across the plaza , serviced every day. Good value for money.

Disliked: Can be noisy in the evening.

Liked: It is secure - there is a safe in the rooms which is easy to operate - you only need a 1 EUR coin. You get a key to the front door.

Disliked: The area is terribly noisy. I arrived in the afternoon and wanted to have some rest, but it was impossible. There are bars, restaurants and cafes underneath, and many street musicians, tourists, etc. It becomes quiet only between 1 and 2 o'clock in the morning.

Liked: The location is excellent. Within 5 minutes from Sol metro and Plaza Mayor. Has elevator. Great water pressure. Safe area.

Disliked: Was not as clean as most places. Nothing terrible, but I could do better.

Liked: Excellent location. No noise from outside. But interior doors and walls are thin, so hallways can be noisy. Very friendly staff eager to help. Elevator is a plus, even though it's tiny. We had a nice view of the plaza in front of the building. Will stay here again if I return to Madrid.

Disliked: Interior noise. But everybody was respectful and took their conversations into their rooms. You will hear the main door to the floor open and close from your room.

Liked: Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, very nice clean room, a little small but big enough and excellent value for money, a nice budget hotel

Liked: staff was very helpful. about our booking confirmation was not sent by hostelbooker (first time happened), so we double booked... of course it turned out only at the spot. the hostel didn't charge us the second room, although it was full.

Disliked: no common areas

Liked: A wonderfull place to stay just in the heart of the old Madrid. The owners were very friendly and the cleaning lady was cleaning a lot : ) . Nice and clean room, with own balcony and bath tube.

Liked: Amazing location, does what it says on the tin. Great to have your own space, felt like a hotel without the frills.

Liked: My room was small BUT it was still good size with double bed, it was v clean and pleasantly decorated, just like the photos. I also had a balcony which was great. I stayed for 3 nights and was very satisfied, I would most definitely stay again and recommend it. The people on reception were friendly and helpful (spoke only spanish). There is also cafe right on the corner if you want a good coffee or some tapas. There is no breakfast provided but there are vending machines.

Disliked: TV didn't work (but I didn't need to watch it anyway).

Liked: Location was perfect, right in the centre of town. Had a lift for big bags, rooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed.

Disliked: Wi-fi didn't reach inside the room, had to use the stairwell to gain access.

Liked: Location was very central and everything was accessable. The room/ensuite was spotless and cleaned to a very high standard every day. Having a one Keycard that you can access your room, the hostal and the main door is a great idea. Although the room is small, excellent standard of accomodation and great value for money, would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Liked: localisation, exactly in the midle of everything

Disliked: some noisy neighbors [it can happen]; and the bed should be king size and they gave us a 2 bed room.

Liked: Amazing location, nice rooms and very clean. They don´t have breakfast but there is a place in the street called "De Montaditos", where is cheap and have great food. I really recomend this hostel.

Liked: This is more like a hotel than a hostel. As far as the location goes it doesn't get any better than this. The place is really clean and the lady who runs the place is very sweet and helpful although she doesn't speak much English.

Disliked: Just Internet connection (wifi) was up and down a bit.
