Liked: Clean bathrooms and kitchen

Disliked: Very run down room, windows didn't shut properly. Quite noisy. Small. The lounge was very grubby with lots of stains on seating. Limited information and the staff directed me to the wrong train station for one day trip, meaning I missed the train.

Liked: The bathrooms and the bedrooms were very clean. The staff was very helpfull.

Disliked: There are no electrical outlets in the rooms to leave your camera or your cellphone charging in the night.

Liked: Close to all of the great bars and clubs. They are very nice and offer a little breakfast in the mornings. Cheap price.

Disliked: The place was really hard to find. Most people I talked to in Chueca didn't know where the place was or even the street that it's on. I had already paid for a reservation and they didn't hold it for me and instead sent me to a different part of Madrid to a different hostel. It was hard to find because it was not well marked. The woman at the first place told me it was only a 20 minute walk, but it took 40 minutes. Both places weren't very clean and my locker was small and the door would fall off. The place didn't have an elevator and I had to take my heavy luggage up 4 flights of stairs. It was a good example of you get what you pay for.

Liked: kitchen and the breakfast. i liked the location, it was in walking distance and there was a big market near the hostel.

Disliked: quite old. though it was clean, due to the 'age' of this hostel it looked little bit unorganized.. but actually it has everything we need. would better to change some pans and cups in the kitchen and fix the noisy bunk beds, my friend couldnt get sleep because of the noise from the upper bed. Also, no power supply in the room! but it was ok to charge my electronic devices in the lounge

Disliked: The roons doesnt have keys, and so doesnt to get into the hostel.

Liked: all cool, clean rooms, cosy lounge, helpful receptionists.smoking allowed in the lounge, which was good for me, but non-smokers can find it as a disadvantage. personal lockers charged at 1 eur per 1st day and 50 cents thereafter. breakfasts - eat as much as you can policy!

Disliked: some noises from outside the building during the night - tube or sth...

Liked: This place is right smack in the middle of it all, you want to experience the Madrid nightlife then this is the best place to do it. It is unbelievably convenient with a metro stop 100 metres down on the same street to take you to all the sights. The staff are very nice and pleasant. The showers were hot, the breakfast was enough, there is a starbucks nearby. The bed were clean and comfortable. If we needed anything the staff were more then helpful. Don't be turned off by the outside door, it does not reflect the interior of the building. There is also a lift if you need it.

Disliked: If you want to go to bed early then I highly recommend you chose another city to visit or at least another hostel. This place is in the middle of a party street, so the noise level doesn't drop until about 3 or 4 am. For most visitors of Madrid, thats fine because you will probably still be out during the noisy hours. Also at 9:30 in the morning a repair man came into our eight bedroom and started fixing a window- slightly awkward and the banging made it difficult to sleep, I doubt that happens often. The staff was more concerned about the light coming in. The door did not latch so our door was open to the foot traffic in the hallway.

Liked: location was really great just a few minutes walk to the center and nighlife areas

Disliked: to be honust it was a bit shaby (not the kitchen and the living room they were good).

Liked: The staff were smiley and friendly and happy to help at any time. I would definitely use it again and recommend to others.The place was kept very clean even tho it is quite an old building.Breakfast included in the price, and optional extra of luggage keep or pay for using facilities through the day was a relief for me as my flight was early hours of Sunday..so could have a mooch around Madrid and relax til late evening to catch the MetroBig thank you to all at Barbieri x

Disliked: Can't complain..it was..as they say.. 'what it said on the tin'

Liked: Really good location, really close to Chueca metro station and lots of cool bars around the hostel. Also only a short distance from Gran Via and Puerta del Sol.

Liked: It's in good location, in gay area actually. Generally hostel is ok, however i would change some minor things that won't need much money, especially in the bathrooms.

Liked: Hostel was very central and staff were friendly. Internet shouldn't cost but other than that you get what you pay for. Streets can be noisy at night so probably not the best option if you are a light sleeper. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.
