Liked: Great location, staff always present to help you and answer your questions

Disliked: We left our luggage there for the morning after we checked out and it was left in the main hallway, which concerned me a bit.

Liked: The location is excellent. Also, the air conditioning facility was good.

Disliked: There was some strict rules about maintaining silence in the hostel. Normally, I didn't mind such rules, because they are normal, but being asked to "keep it down" by other tenants when I was just talking normal, bothered me.

Liked: The hostel is located on the second floor of a really fantastic historic building with a center courtyard type area, high ceilings, and pretty colors. The hostel owner was a very nice but no nonsense kind of woman. There were other young people there to meet and the location was super convenient.

Disliked: Our room only had a window into a hallway.

Disliked: We reserved the hostel for one night because we had an early appointment in Madrid and needed a place to sleepover. Came to check in around12 am. Entering the hostel the women that works there told us that our room is not free yet explaining that some people who came to see pope went somewhere outside the city and will not be back before 7 pm,so they still had their stuff inside. She told us that she can give us the 10% we payed back and we can go to another hostel!Finding another hostel during the days of popes visit and with all the hotels full!!! I could not believe the unprofessionallity!!! She said ˝well you can leave your bag here and go for a walk until 7. People usually do that and go to see the city˝. We've told her that we re not here for tourism ,that we just want to have a shower and some rest.who is she to assume what will i do during my stay! Eventually we found another hostel after loosing 2 hours searching. She wanted to get the money for one room from the guests that stay until 7 and from us. She didn't care, not her problem! You judge for yourself if this hostel is recommendable!!!

Liked: The owners are very helpfull and friendly, the location is nice and easy to find! The room is a little bit old, but in good conditions and very clean. I had booked a double room without bath inside, when we arrived the owner provided us with a double room with bath inside for the same price paid for the other room. It was nice!

Disliked: Nothing relevant! They do not provide breakfast but there is a kitchen available, so we can buy the food and prepare our breakfast.

Liked: the only thing i liked was that it was in the city centre, close to everything!

Disliked: it was an old building, with dark and dirty rooms, dirty toilets and without kitchen!!

Liked: near Puerta del Sol, which is in the city center and very crowded by night. From the hostel, it's not so far to travel by metro or go for a walk to shopping streets. They have internet connection and clean the room everyday. The staff are very nice.

Disliked: very hot in summer (but might be warm in winter). Most of the rooms do not have windows. There are only two toilets. It's on the second floor of a small building, which was quite difficult for me to find at first.

Liked: It was clean and in a great location, very easy to find and close to the subway and central within Madrid.

Disliked: Our flight was delayed so we arrived late. The reception does not stay open after 12am and we arrived at 12.30am. Luckily the owner let us in however she was not happy and made this extremely clear to us. We did not feel welcome in the hostel and were not greeted in a friendly manner. The owner continually told us how she never got any sleep and it seemed like she really did not want to be running the hostel. There were also an extensive list of rules which were obviously in place to provide quiet for all customers however it did not give the hostel a good atmosphere and made us feel quilty if we made any slight noise. Our room had no windows and in high temperatures it was extremely stuffy with only a fan to keep cool.

Liked: The landlord or manager was very helpfull. As we were only issued with one key he gave us his own set.

Disliked: Not an ensuite!

Liked: - Location is excellent: 3 minutes walking from the Plaza de la Puerta del Sol, Madrid's main square - Staff is very friendly - Rooms/toilets are thoroughly cleaned every day

Disliked: - The three-person bedroom which we had reserved, contained only one single bed and one tiny (really really *tiny*) two-person bed. After having asked the staff to install an additional mattress, an extra bed was placed between the two other beds. - The room had no window and became very warm at night.

Disliked: The owner is not an easy person...even so, if you start to get with her, can become friendly and pleasant.

Liked: the rooms with balcony were excellent. Being right in the centre of Madrid is a great experience and the price-location ratio was incredible.

Disliked: Only a shower in the superior private double room. It would have been nice to have a toilet. Only two toilets in the whole hostal.
