Liked: It is in a great location. Has a downstairs security door to get into building and an elevator. Rooms are clean, so are hallway shared bathrooms/shower and you get towels and sheets. Sink in room. Staff are nice, friendly and can understand English pretty good. Rooms are hot, no ac, only fans, highly recommend balcony only room otherwise no windows. Can't imagine heat in summer months. Very good value.

Liked: The most important element here is location - it is right in the centre of town and close to the metro within 40 mins of the airport. Definately a good spot.

Liked: The owners spend a lot of time creating a nice, creative, decorative, and CLEAN environment for their clients. It had a great location. I was able to walk to the Plaza Mayor, Reina Sofia, el Prado, and many other touristy sights. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Liked: Our stay at Bahia was ruined based on two major downsides. The staff and the heat. The rooms were like saunas with no ventilation. The staff were rude unfriendly and loud. The lady who runs the hostel is constantly being disruptive. She refused to speak English when she got angry. While quietly chatting in the common room at night she made a big scene telling us to quiet down even tho we were practically whispering and her booming voice was magnitudes louder than us. When we pointed that out she told us we thought too highly of ouselves?Additionally we were never asked to pay when checking in but on day 2 of our stay we were accused of not paying as if we were trying to get a free ride. Who's job is it to collect payment?Lastly our biggest regret is not calling them out when we checked in about giving us the wrong room. We booked a double and they gave us a twin. If it wasn't for the nasty staff the sauna rooms might be tolerable.

Liked: Good location... No air conditioning -not so good for hot summer nights!-, a bit noisy and "ensuite" means a tiny shower but no toilet in the room. All in all, fairly clean and nice enough for 1-2 nights.

Liked: The place was fine but the staff just changed the reservation into one double room (in stead of the reservation of 2 single rooms, I made that reservation many weeks before. without any consultancy it was changed into one double room and the owner let us no choice because she had already given the individual rooms to others and we arrived late. we confirmed the reservation even the same day and still she changed it without making a phonecall or whatever to check if one double room was alright.

Liked: very nice,clean,cheaper,it's is in the centre of the city ,situated in very very nice bilduing,very good stuff,they help me in my stay,and they clean and control all the day the hostel,there is security in this hostel,I recommend this hostel to all travelers

Liked: I would not stay at this hostel in summer we almost died in our rooms as they were so hot. No Aircon and no window. Sweat Box. Also be warned dont wake the lady owner up before 10am. Major mistake that was.

Liked: this was a great hostel, awesome location down the street from puerta del sol. the staff was friendly and helpful, the showers and bathrooms were cleaned out every day, and it was quiet enough for us early sleepers. the room was fairly small because we had a triple, but that was fine because we weren´t planning to spend much time in the room anyway.

Liked: you dont need the hostel to meet peopleyou are in the middle of the whole mess of bars and clubs at walking distance. dont go anywhere else. this is perfect. rooms are clean, bedclothing and common facilities are clean. there is no luxury, but it is simple but confortable. beds are good to sleep in.

Liked: quite far from the airport but really close to sites such as the royal palace and plaza mayor. the room didn't have a window which didnt help the humididty of the room which only had a fan as means of air conditioning. helpful in arranging an airport transfer and friendly.
