German The most stunning view in Europe from a hostel terrace!!

We welcome you to experience a project always in movement. We like to build and have a good time.

The Rambutan is structured to accommodate road torn backpackers; musicians in need of a place to play; cooks in search of culinary enlightenment; artists in need of a muse; those tired of oversized impersonal hostels; or those looking for lost family members! If you don't enjoy a young and social environment, this isn't the place for you. We are looking for people whom are looking for something more, research us!

Apart from all the normal amenities, we hope you find yourself active and busy involving yourself with an atmosphere that we desire to provoke mental stimulation and lasting memories.

Cactus tours, football, pin pong, Mexican food in drag, tapas crawl, an unsurpassed library, world music exchange, flamenco classes, a bike that needs to be fixed, and kittens.

Since we offer a smaller and more intimate environment, contact with other people is inevitable!

If I was only to talk about the view that would be the first reason to go here…but there is much more, find out! and bring your saxophone! ;)

This is the most picturesque hostels I've ever visited. From barbecues, to salsa dancing in the square, even cross-dressing parties and sometimes spur of the moment pickup basketball or football games... this place was quintessential backpacker paradise.

Well, I know a lot of people mentioned how they got sucked into staying longer than they planned. Well, I originally planned on being there for 3 at most. I ended up staying a combined 3 months over the course of 5 months traveling. If that isn't a testimonial to die for, I don't know what is. And to the owners Jin, Tyler, Damian, if you're still there. Thanks for the cheap wine and priceless memories. Oh, by the way. If you end up there, don't forget to ask the owners/workers/locals (Sean, Chacha, Mario, etc.) about New Year's 2002-2003. A memory not soon forgotten!

I met someone in Sevilla who drew me a map to this place... a poor map on the back of a napkin... and I was so glad to find it!! It's beautiful -- I've drawn dozens of napkin-maps for other people to find it.
