Liked: I really liked the friendlyness of the stuff, especially because they are all young. you can feel that they're interested in making you a good time at your place and not just in earning money. everything was very clean and the atmosphere is amazing! the best thing is the middlepart with the little bar, hammocks and the tree house. another thing which really surprised me in a positive way was firstly that sometomes you can have dinner together and secondly that we all went out together, so that you as a stranger didn't have to find out where to go to have a great time. i enjoyed my time and I really would have loved to stay there longer!

Liked: the staff were wonderful. Marta was so lovely and Andrea's walking tour was excellent. We loved our stay there. Thankyou.

Disliked: The rooms and bathrooms are a little small but it made up for it in every other way.

Liked: Friendly staff, very helpful and fun. the communal area was great to meet people and the nightly dinners made it easy to meet peole as a solo traveller. lockers provided. COmmunal bathroom for all the rooms with multiple sinks so there was never a wait.

Disliked: Only two showers but as the sinks were separate the wait was never too bad.

Disliked: It is very noisy and probably wouldn't suit some looking for a quiet place to stay.

Liked: Staff and owners were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: It seems to be running on a shoestring. A good investment of time and a bit of money should be put into maintaining and repairing the property. There were loose tiles in our room. The plumbing whined and groaned. The kitchen freezer was left open 2 inches because ice had jammed it and no one defrosted it. There were no mugs provided although there was a coffeemaker.

Liked: A great hostel to relax in the well set up backyard! Marta, the manager, was really accomodating and charming! We liked it so much that when we left, we booked in again to go back there. We recommend this hostel to everyone!

Liked: I arrived without a booking but even though it was booked up I was given an ice cold sangria, the chance to sit and chill after the hard walk up the hill, and Marta promised that she would find me somewhere to stay even if it was a hammock as I was too exhausted from the walk up the hill to leave!Friendly smiley traveller staff who are happy to hang around and go out with you. Lovely chilled hippy vibe.

Liked: Incredible. Makuto change my little trip into a real experience! Best place that I ever know to meet interesting people. The better vibe ever! Great, great, great, atmosphere and a chillout place at the same time. For the ones who likes to fell at home when travelling, Makuto is the best place.

Liked: Amazing place. Incredibly beautiful, has a bar which is lots of fun, hangmats for relaxation, guitars; great place to meet some interesting people right in the center of Granada. It is very nicely decorated and the staff is awesome, super helpful and enthusiastic. Also at night fun is guaranteed! Lastly, internet works great.

Liked: Everything! the staff are really fun and friendly and the gave lots of advice for activities and directions on the free maps. the commons area is great for meeting new people and the paella is louurvely. thanx very much

Liked: We stayed in the lovely ensuite at the top. It came with a semi private kitchen (only shared with one other room) with coffee, bread, jam, juice etc provided. The hostel as a whole is very friendly and the staff are helpful. The paella was excellent.

Liked: From the first moment I felt welcome - Makuto is an oasis where you can relax, meet nice people from all over the world, a perfect place to stay in Granada. Having siesta in one the the hammocks in the garden area with chill out music from the bar makes you feel so good! Although most travellers are aged between 20 and 25, even oldies like me (53) feel comfortable in this place. Don´t miss the walking tours provided free by the stuff!

Liked: I would really recommend this hostel for anyone that wants to be in the Heart of Granada! It is situated in a really great location - five mins away from tea houses and tapas bars and 30mins away from the Alhambra. However, hostelbookers website was a bit misleading in that the sheets, breakfast and lockers were all extra cost on arrival. Nothing is included - so watch out for this!
