Liked: Great place if you are traveling alone!!! Location is in the old part of the city and only a few minutes away is a great view of Alhambra. The staff are very friendly!!! Free guided walk gives you a view of the city you would not normally see. You can buy very cheap dinner and it is nice to sit down with a bunch of people are share a meal!

Disliked: No locks on the individual doors but each person gets a locker to put their valuables in

Liked: Staff was very helpful with directions and things to do in Granada. They were also very nice, but seemed to go through mood swings a lot. Nice tree top common space.

Disliked: The overpriced and very average meals they offer. We were invited to join them for lunch and thought that the staff was being generous. Not only did we pay 3,50 euros for really bad pizza and a small drink, but when my boyfriend asked if he could have another slice they said «yes of course!» and then charged us a whole other 3,50. The staff seemed to chill out there more than actually work. Breakfast was only white bread toast and 3 jam options (there may have been more things available at the begining of the service, but then that just means that they donºt supply enough for the number of guests).

Liked: Wonderful staff! Very friendly and houghtful about one could need. Had a wonderful tour up the hills and to the cave with one member of staff. Came in on my first night and was instantely greeted with a glass of water - little things like that make you feel very welcomed. One other great thing are the showers (I am menteing this cause a member of the staff told me, that sometimes people complain about them). Okay: yes, there are only three of them (for around 30 people) and it is a mixed bathroom situation (which is a very good thing for people who may not match with gender standards, by the way...). But you can lock the showers and you have a big deposit rack inside the showers where you can store your clothes without having them soacked of water afterwards. Never had that in any other hostel I've ever been so far. Simply perfect. The hostel itself is one of the most beautiful hostels I've been: quiete, with several very cosy chill out areas and a very nice bar in the evenings. Totally recommendable. :)

Disliked: Everything was perfect.

Liked: Makuto is extremely charming. They have a gorgeous courtyard complete with a mini bar, tree house, and hammocks! They also have a "chill room" where you can hang out with the other travelers and play guitar or games or just relax. The staff are young, fun, knowledgeable, and friendly. This was my first stay in a hostel and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean everything was.

Disliked: It's kind of hard to find due to all the tiny, complicated cobblestone streets, but it's totally worth it for the location, It's really close to the center of everything and the neighborhood (the Albycin) is very beautiful.

Liked: Friendly staff and a welcoming, communal atmosphere with great places to relax and talk with friends after a long day

Disliked: We asked for a private double and got a room that could sleep four to ourselves. It's quite clear that the place is really designed for individuals and small groups. Apart from this, it was great

Liked: The staff were really friendly. The beds were comfortable and warm enough and the treehouse was cool. It was clean and the location was great. The staff also organised tickets for the Arabic baths, which was great. Would be a great place to stay in summer.

Disliked: Lack of hot water for showers. The first day my shower was so cold I could hardly put my toes under the water. The second and third days, I only managed to get slightly warm water, and I was one of the first people in. Lack of internet access in indoor areas was also unpleasant because it's freezing outside in the mornings and evenings in winter. You could get internet in the kitchen, but it's very small and if anyone is using it, then it's not an option. I also was unable to pay with a credit card when I arrived, which was very inconvenient. They adverstised that credit cards are accepted, but the machine is permanently 'broken'.

Liked: Makuto is located in the historical Albayzín neighborhood in Granada which has very narrow cobblestone streets and an eerie magical feel to it. The staff is very friendly and helpful and works to make your trip as memorable as possible. They have a relationship with the Arabic Baths at the base of the Alhambra. Bring a bathing suit with you and ask them about it, it's definitely worth it.

Disliked: Some of the bunks are triple stacked, so it might feel a bit crowded if the room was full. They also have those showers to conserve water where you have to press a button every fifteen seconds to keep the water flowing.

Liked: The atmosphere was amazing. We took a fun cooking class with he staff one night and enjoyed our wonderful dinner in the chill out. The coolest hostel I've stayed at. They also had great recommendations for tapas and food in the area.

Disliked: The old streets of granada are all hilly cobble stone so don't bring a rolling suitcase.

Liked: it is a very interesting/ fun design in the hostel , unique. it makes people want to stay long. the breakfast with different kinds of juice and jam, hot chocolate, which is nice. good music from the bar. beautiful tv room. fun place..

Disliked: on the way to the hostel, is difficult to walk and easy to get lost, complicate. the steepy stone roads in the rainly days, are slippery, and difficult to walk. the bottoms of bed are weak with thin piles of wood, so they are broken in some middle parts of the beds, and they did not noticed, actually it is to solve the problem, just put whole pile of wood on the beds. therefore it was quite uncomfortable to sleep.

Liked: Makuto has a really nice hippy and laid back feel to the place. I would only recommend it to people who like such an atmosphere. You get to meet other backpackers and learn more about Granada. They have a shared kitchen that offers simple breakfast. The place is kept very neat and clean. Andreas, the Italian guy who works at the reception is super friendly and last but not the least, awesome music that plays in the outside seating all day!

Disliked: Take care of your belongings when you use the shared bathroom. My stuff was taken and I actually had to wait for the guy to come out of the shower to get my stuff back! Also, carry a towel with you else you will have to rent them from there.
