Liked: The location is the best I think you'll find, especially for the price. Great tapas bars all around, some just steps away. Easy, convivial nightlife. Staff is friendly and helpful, albeit laid back. The only thing that could be improved would be installing fans! We were in Maktub at the beginning of the summer and it was blazing! 40 degrees all day and not much better at night. Some fans would have made it decidedly easier to sleep.

Liked: This place is brilliant! Steps away from everything in Granada - Albaicin, Cathedral, city centre, Alhambra, supermarkets, tea houses, tapas bars, shops, banks and museums. Getting around the city was a breeze. The hostel is housed in an ancient, cosy house on a quiet side street, with the friendliest staff and fellow travellers we've met to date and a cool roof terrace for relaxing in the afternoon heat or socialising in the evening. Amenities are standard, there are shared bathrooms and a kitchen, Internet access is free and there are flamenco classes on-site. The staff is international, friendly, speaks many languages and is always around to help.

Liked: The people who run the place are very friendly n ready to help. A lot of effort has been put by them in doing up the place. The breakfast is good. The location - excellent!!!

Liked: Awesome place, small enouugh that you feel really at home here. The owner is a great guy, French-Canadian to boot. Possibly my favourite hostel of the past three months!
