Liked: I would recommend this place more for men who want to explore all the activities the hostel offers and are more like hippies inside, otherwise this place seems a little bit weird. Staff is really friendly, but the kitchen was always very dirty and breakfast food left on the kitchen table for whole day... As to for me, it was to much messy and all people I met there weren't 'my type'. Well, but they describe themselves honestly. So if you think you'd like this, try your luck. I would prefer a tidy and more friendly rather than so 'relaxed' hostel ;-)

Liked: Very good location in the center of Granada, people and staff very friendly. They didnt had my booking but that was not a problem, the rooms get very hot coz no air con/fan...but it gets colder around 2am :) Kitchen was ok, just bathrooms were not so good. Free internet too.

Liked: Love it. Fun, warm and friendly atmosphere. Superb location. Great staff make you feel very welcome and at home. We like to cook and subsequently fed some of the staff and the owner one night when we made waaay to much food :)We (Bex & Lex) would heartily recommend Maktub to other travellers who enjoy a relaxed, social hostel experience.

Liked: I had to wait 35 minutes before someone actually answered the door in the morning. Not all of the staff have worked there very long or even been in Granada for very long which made it hard to get all my questions answered. Was not the cleanest hostel I have stayed in. However I got sick while staying there and was very appreciative of the staff and their help then.

Liked: One of the best hostels stayed in during my 2 month european trip! Great staff and atmosphere, very chilled!

Liked: Stay for a few days and it feels like home. I went paragliding and it was one of the best experiences of my holiday, I definitely recommend it, and it's super cheap if you stay for a week! I will be goi g back before my travels are over! =)

Liked: Extremely hard to find! very narrow streets and not well marked! the sign for the hostel is arabic! Staff was really friendly and helpful! Met us to help find the hostel! Breakfast and internet included! Great terrace to go sit up on!

Liked: I've done A LOT of travelling and Maktub is hands down the best hostel I have ever stayed at! The staff are helpful, friendly and fun... they even took us out at night for some really great times! Maktub is a smaller hostel so it has a really comfortable and welcoming atmosphere... you really have the opportunity to get to know and hang out with the other guests and staff. Great location and great company! I would recommend Maktub to any traveller!!!!

Liked: Maktub was fun for a couple nights but i would stay somewhere else if staying for longer. There were only 2 bathrooms for about 20 people, so there were always lines. The large bunk room was pretty loud so i would bring ear plugs. Awesome location, great for shopping, eating, going to bars and about a 10 minute walk to the Alhambra. This was a very laid back hostel, definitely good for the young traveler.
