Liked: quite convenient for bus station , restaurants and beach

Liked: The location was perfect... 5 minutes walking from Playa Dorada... and there were many places to eat nearby. The mall is also a 5 minute walk from the property. The property was pretty clean and had great wifi in the rooms.

Disliked: The bathrooms were clean but could use some updating.

Liked: We stayed at Hostel Kasa for 8 nights in February 2013 and can definitely recommend it to anybody looking for an excellent hostel at great value in Las Palmas. We especially liked the great location and extremely friendly and helpful hostel staff. They offered to clean our room several times during our stay which is a pleasant surprise in Hostels. Everything was clean, the room was just as nice as shown in the pictures and the location is close to central bus stops and Las Canteras beach.

Disliked: Unfortunately there is no kitchen in the hostel but the manager told us they are planning to address this in the future. Due to the central location near Santa Catalina park (especially during Carnaval) it can get a bit noisy at night although we did not find this to be overly bothersome.

Liked: It was excellent! We didn't expect that we should enjoy our stay at the hostel so much! We liked it from the very first day to the last. We had it so cosy and comfortable and the staff was very kind and friendly. I hope we'll come back there one day.

Liked: I did not like anything about Hostel Kasa except that it was not too far away from the main beach.

Disliked: I had a room that was advertised as a single deluxe room. The room did not have a toilet and the shower in the room stank after pee because people are using it as a toilet. The bed was dirty and stank, the blanket stank, there was blood on the bed sheet. It was terribly loud, not only the noise from the road but also the noise at reception. After 21:00pm the receptionist and a man talked very loud, everything could be heard inside the room. One of the neighbours had an alarm clock or whatever which rang with music all through the night. It also stank terribly in the hotel and the toilet, perhaps after the cleaning material they use. I am a non smoker and was put into a smoker room. Cigarette ashes were on the table. I felt totally uncomfortable in this hostel. My skin itched in the bed. I would not stay at this hostel again. They also have rooms with no windows.

Disliked: they dont allow guests in the room or building, kinda too secure hard to communicate with staff sometime, gotta speak spanish well (but its ok)
