Liked: I had a enjoyable stay at CEL - (Centre Ecologic Ilemena) Hostel between June 7th and 9th 2009. I was given exactly what the web-site promised (www.cel.org.es): A calm place close to nature. If this is what you seek, then this is the perfect place for you.

Liked: CEL was an excellent time for us. The property is absolutely beautiful and the farmhouse has so much character...you really feel like you are a part of the history and environment. The food was fantastic and the host, Camillo, was very helpful and gracious. We will definitely be returning to CEL!

Liked: I thought this hostel was wonderfull. The building was beautiful. The property was as well, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpfull. Having said that, I should note that the hostel is about a half hour from Girona, so it's not the spot if being cetral is important to you. Also, be prepared for things to be fairly informal and for there to be a fair number of pets and children around (both quiet and charming). In the end this is a quirky, unusual hostel, but if you want a unique stay in a gorgeous environment I couldn't recomend it more.

Liked: A wonderful place in a beautiful natural setting to relax and enjoy nature. The stream-fed swimming pool is a joy, the building itself is wonderful. And most important, the people, the owners make you feel like family.

Liked: This is possibly the most relaxing place on earth. Fantastic views, beautiful accommodation, chilled out staff and guests. If you want to get away from the world, relax, read, sleep and eat then this is the place for you.

Liked: This is a place you go to get away from stress and the craziness of life - its very peaceful and quiet, a beautiful location - 20 km out of Girona, so you have to travel half an hour to get out and about - I would recommend going for a week to chill out on the property and decompress from life...the food is great, but not free...

Liked: I liked the location and the respect for nature and environment. You sence a great feeling of freedom there. Reload the battery, so to speak. You're really surrounded by beautiful nature and piece. Also its a very beautiful building (first built around the 12th century). The atmosphere is very good. Well, just a great place to be!
