Posada la Plaza is a three star hotel which stands centrally in the village square, right next to the historic fountain. It is perfectly situated for exploring the heart of this region with its charming white villages.

The original buildings of the hotel date back to the 16th century and were carefully and tastefully renovated and restored to create this charming and traditional rural hotel. There are nine charming double bedrooms, beautifully decorated in Andalusia style, and some rooms can be converted into triple rooms.

All rooms have a fully fitted bathroom, air conditioning and heating, comfortable beds, fine fabrics and satellite plus terrestrial television. The rooms are graded as superior or standard. Superior rooms are situated at the front of the hotel, are slightly more spacious and have wonderful views of the surrounding Andalusia countryside.

Location Information

The rural Hotel Posada a Plaza stands in the heart of Canillas de Albaida, one of the white villages in the Axarquia region of Andalucia in southern Spain.

'Canillas' (as it is affectionately known) is situated on the slopes of the Sierra de Tejeda and Almijara mountains and so the surrounding areas are rich in pine groves scrubland and cork and are ideal for rambling and outdoor activities.
