Liked: Even if it's not in central Bilbao (it's in Zorrotza), there's a metro stop just around the corner, and in 10 minutes you are in central station (Abando). In all the hostel there's a WiFi connection, so if you have a laptop you can access the internet for free and quicly. There's also a pc in the hall which is free to use. Most of the rooms have bathroom. The staff is nice and friendly.

Liked: Location was a long way outside the centre but bilbao does have a very good public transport system so it is reall only about 10-15mins on the train. The hostal itself was just undergoing renovation when we stayed there and they put us in a room which had only just been done, so it was very light and bright and clean. The staff didn't speak very much English which made it a little awkward, but then again maybe we should have learnt a bit more Spanish!

Liked: Although difficult to find, we took the bus into the centre of town and a taxi for €7.00 brought us to the hostel's doorstep. The lady there was extremely helpful providing us with maps etc of things to do, and we subsequently learnt there was a train station literally around the corner and up some steps.....very handy!!! Unfortunately myself and my sister went out for dinner that night, and ended up missing the last train by about 5 mins so its a good idea to check the times, as not all of the service runs all night. There were other hostelliers sitting down when we arrived back but as we had just flown in that day we were exhausted. There was a computer for the internet, a vending machine, beautiful clean and simple bedrooms (with tv's), vending machines out in the lobby. You are given three keys, one for the building (which houses other offices), one for the hostel front door, and one for your room. I would definitely go back as it was cheap, clean and cheerful and exactly what we were looking for.

Liked: Informal atmosphere; the people who run it are always very helpful and keep the place really clean, which is important to me. Also, although it is outside the town centre, it is very easy to get to and just a few steps from the station which suprised me, as I didn't see this on the website.
