Liked: The location was excellent, in front of many restaurants and near the Old Town of Bilbao. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful; they recommended us some sites to visit in the city.

Disliked: It’s located in a 3rd floor and the building doesn’t have an elevator, so it’s a little hard to climb all the stairs with the luggage.

Liked: It had a great location right in the old part of Bilbao!

Disliked: There was really nothing I disliked. We had our own bathroom, they watched our luggage for us the next day. It was just what we were looking for!

Liked: Located in the heart of the old town Hostal Gurea is ideally located. A great room with a balcony over looking a street that came to life as the night wore on.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike, it was just fine.

Liked: Location - right in the old town, easy to find Room - lovely bright room with en-suite and little balcony Cleanliness - absolutely spotless with housekeeping every day Staff - very helpful and friendly on arrival and reception manned 24 hours Safety - keys left at reception ad only residents can get in Facilities - common room with free internet, microwave and vending machine

Disliked: Two tiny complaints could be no lift upto the property on 3rd floor (hard work with heavy case!) and the TV in our room didn't work fi that's the kind of thing that bothers you (it didn't bother us as we weren't there to watch telly!)

Liked: The staff are lovely, very helpful and there is a free laptop for clients´use. The staff managed to put us in an interior room so the noise was less.

Disliked: the location and the many stairs.

Liked: Very friendly staff that spoke good English, something that is not taken for granted in hotels of this class in Spain

Liked: It had a great location, close to everything (that's not too hard in Bilbao as it's small and compact). Bilbao is a beautiful city! And the hostal was quaint and charming. Loved the free wifi and the snack machine room.

Disliked: The building could really use an elevator. Climbing to the 4th floor with our luggage was NOT the easiest thing in the world; on the other hand, just coming from a 5 week study-program, I wasn't exactly traveling light. That's it, though.

Liked: Loved the character and location - our room also had a balcony overlooking the streets of Bilbao´s old town, which was great.

Disliked: Noise travels in this hotel, so if you are a very light sleeper then it´s not great. I slept just fine though!

Liked: Nice rooms, very helpful staff and the location in the oldtown is just great. At least some rooms have their own bathroom, ours included even a bathtub! Change of towels every day, as well as room cleaning.

Disliked: The doors and windows could be insulated way better. If your room points to the street, it can be noisy during the nighttime, especially at weekends.

Liked: the location is excellent, and very clean room. staff very welcoming!

Disliked: very noisy in the street ( normal, we're in restaurant area)so if you come to have a rest, it' s not the best place. about noise, as the ground is made of wood, when people upstairs are walking, it's also noisy... plus cleaning truck at 5H30 morning....

Liked: Excellent location in the old town and 15 minutes stroll along the river to the Guggenheim. Very friendly and helpful staff

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. Possibly absence of lift as its on the 4th floor but the exercise is good for you!

Liked: Location, friendliness of staff, big rooms with enough space to put your luggage, clean large bathroom with hair dryer, TV

Liked: Good location in the old town. Helpful stuff.

Disliked: Nothing. During the night it is a little bit noisy from the street. That could for other people be a problem. We liked it.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and nice. I didnt speak to them in english, but they were very patient with my spanish. I had a single room and I liked that I didnt have to have fear about my things being stolen.

Disliked: It wasnt that I disliked it, but it was a bit boring. It definitely wasnt the youth hostel vibe that I had put in my head for it to be. It was a bit noisy, so I could hear everything throughout the hostel. It didnt bother me since I am a hard sleeper, but I can see how it could bother others.

Liked: Clean bedrooms with comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and let us leave our bags there all day even though we had checked out.

Liked: The location.

Disliked: The rooms were oldish, therfore the price too high. I only slept half of the nights because everythime someone would ring at the front door (all night long, esp. on the weekend), you can hear the loud bell throughout the whole hostel. A small electric heater. Make sure you turn it on in winter!

Liked: Perfect location in the Old Town (best places for food, great architecture) and the most helpful staff I´ve ever met!
