Liked: One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! Great central location. Clean, fun and value for money! Staff are helpful & friendly. Stayed in the 12 bed dorm and felt comfortable and safe. Had own bed reading lamp and locker, plus plenty of space in the room so didn't feel squashed beside other guests. Everything was cleaned regularly. The toilets were nice and even had a hairdryer! The main common room consisted of a bar/eating area/separate kitchen facilities/snack machines/separate toilets/plenty of computers/fuseball/nintendo wii/free wi-fi... Breakfast was included, and was pretty good! Consisted of a selection of cereals/juices/coffee/tea/hot chocolate/sweet buns/jams/butter/apples/oranges/biscuits/and freeze dried mini toasts (the one thing I didn't like). No worries though, as they also have places to toast your own bread and a separate microwave (don't forget they have full kitchen facilities too). Bed linen included the bottom sheet and pillow case within the price. For a top sheet it's a once off payment of 2euro/and a blanket for your stay will cost 3euro. They also charge 2euro for a towel (this is reimburshed on your departure). N.B. there are individual locker spaces within the dorm rooms but you have to bring your own lock! If you don't have then you can purchase one at reception for 3euro! The hostel has brochures on activities to do in Barcelona and they also have planned events throughout the week. They have pub crawl nights/tapas and flamenco nights out/bike tours, etc. Be sure to check the posters advertising this as the nights/days vary for the different activities. We took advantage of the free guided tours on offer-the first was the Gothic Tour and the second the Gaudi Tour. Both were fantastic! Tom our guide was brilliant. We saved so much time trying to figure them tours out on our own! He tells you all about the info behind the sites, such a great guy. We tipped him money and chocolate at the end of both tours. It's not mandatory but he did such a great job! ;) BTW security and peace and quiet are reinforced there! Which is great! Reception always checks your pass card and there are surveillence cameras located throughout the building (except dorm rooms of course!). They enforce strict quiet time after 10pm and lights in dorms to be switched off by 11pm (you have your own individual reading light so it's not a problem). There were some noisy, drunk girls in our dorm who had no consideration for other guests. I discovered in the morning that the hostel had evicted them. I was delighted. Such a respectful place! Would definitely stay there again and will be sure to recommend to friends who are travelling to Barcelona:) Such a great place and Barcelona is a wonderful city. From all the countries I have travelled to in Europe it has to be my favourite!!

Disliked: Freeze dried toast:)

Liked: A great place if your a single traveller as there was a large common room which everyone was able to party in however, we still had lots of fun as a couple! Rooms were very clean and spacious as were the bathrooms and toilets. The man at the desk was very helpful and rang to book a bus for me! Nice people all round. Hop on bus stopped right outside which was fantastic!

Disliked: Would love it if you guys offered private rooms too.

Liked: What a great place! It is really the youth hub - it is crowded with people from all over, yet it is really clean. The staff are friendly, as are the fellow travelers. The building has marble floors and is centered around a huge staircase. The dorm rooms were beautiful - floor to ceiling windows. The hostel is a 5 minute walk from the Parcieg de Gracia metro station, which is really handy after a long day on a Spanish train. Overall well organized for the amount of people it houses.

Disliked: Blankets and linens were both extra; I have never seen this before. It was a bit of a pain to get up to the room and discover that there were no blankets on the bed. I have seen better breakfasts, but it was good under the circumstances. Could be a bit noisy.

Liked: Clean, friendly, great coffee and loved the rooftop bar.

Disliked: I'm an 'older traveller' (over 50) and stayed in heaps of hostels. The only downside to Equity Point was the lift was small, hot and slow ~ anyway, better to use the stairs!

Liked: Location - was on the next corner from Casa Batllo and was 5 minutes walk from Placa Catalunya. Perfect !Breakfast - was simple, yet you could eat as much as you like (useful before a days sightseeing) and good time to meet others - coffee was very good too!Room - i stayed in 6 bed ensuite, very clean, lockers big enough for my hand luggage suitcase, bed was comfy, was warm etc, had own reading light.Free 20 minutes on internet on hostel computersFree pillowcase and bottom sheetAs a girl travelling alone - felt safe - they checked everyone had a room card every time you entered the building.Very impressed - my first time in a hostel and no complaints whatsoever, many young people there looking for a good time and very friendly, on my first night went out with 5 americans!

Disliked: nothing - maybe remember to take your own padlock for your locker or they sell them for 3 euros, and blanets and topsheets are extra 2 euros each but i didnt need a blankt it was warm enough.

Liked: The location is AMAZING! Definitely worth what you're paying as far as location goes!

Disliked: I didn't like that locks and sheets were extra because I don't travel with that kind of stuff. I know that it said that on the website but I must have overlooked it and was a little annoyed. Also only the first 30 minutes of internet was free and in the bar/common room you can't drink alcohol unless you buy it from the bar and you aren't "supposed" to drink in your room.

Liked: Very central, from the airport we got there directly by the airport bus to Placa Catalunya and walked 5 minutes. Its great if you don't depend on metro when in Barcelona and have to drag a suitcase up and down the plenty stairs! It is close to Casa Mila, which we visited and also to the Gothic Area, Ramblas, Harbour and the MACBA, all easily by foot. Breakfast was okay, we could sleep even in the 12-people-dorm and got nice hot showers. Thats all we needed for one night. The staff was friendly and helpful, and untill 11:00 you get free coffee and tea in the breakfast room, even with milk foam. Thanks!

Disliked: Its pretty big and therefore not a personal place to meet new friends like the Garden Hostel I usually stay at, but which is far from the centre. The Equity Point Centric lacks charme and a common outdoor place to chill in the evening, but is very functional for a short visit to the city centre. I missed toast for breakfast and was astonished that even blankets were only for hire (2 EUR), which are included everywhere else. Our window was broken, but got fixed the same night when we complained.

Liked: A good place to stay in a great location. Plenty of partys on offer if you're a joiner. The live musicat their own party was pretty good. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

Disliked: A very big hostel with lots of larger groups when I was there, scaitlin was a little difficult to meet people as a solo traveller. Also all balcony doors were padlocked so views from the hostel itself were limited.
