Liked: They have figured the way to help a bunch of strangers leave as great friends. This hostel is the most unique, they provide dinner for all the guests. Great way to sit at days end and converse with others. Internet speed is great, with no issues.

Disliked: The 6 room dorm is a walk through for the other 2 rooms on the floor so room never seemed locked which is why I gave a lower score for security, they do provide great lockers though. Also gave less of a score for cleanliness, as it could be cleaner, but also everything seems to be falling apart, for a new hostel, I think they need to address this new. walked into the bathroom and the huge tissue dispenser almost hit me in the head.

Liked: the friendly candor of the hostel managers was superb, the atmosphere was inviting and genuine.They provided a birthday cake for me,on my last day of stay; can you imagine that?

Disliked: I am still thinking about what to write here , but i am not sure.It was a good hostel.

Liked: Very very helpful staff! Great location. Very close to Carrer de Blai, a street full of restaurants and bars where locals hang out. Nice terrace with a hot tub.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The staff, the atmosphere and the security.

Disliked: To get to the private rooms, you have to pass by the dorm so there's a traffic of people back and forth to the the private rooms. There should be separeted entrances for private rooms and dorms.

Liked: All the worker were at their best.We had free dinner every evening where we got to socialise with other occupants of the hostel.There kitchen was freely available to use.This place has been one of the very few i wake up still feeling like i am home.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Secure entry and rooms. Free wifi and computers. Very helpful staff with excellent knowledge of Barcelona. Really fun friendly atmosphere around the place if you are keen to meet other people and share a drink or some dinner. Great tapas places and bars around too.

Disliked: Could maybe be closer to city centre but still not too much of a journey.

Liked: Clean, safe, small/friendly atmosphere, but still large enough that you'll meet plenty of people. This is easy because they have a great outdoor area where everyone starts gathering in the early evening--hot tub there too if you're interested. Staff organizes something every evening (cocktail hour, dinner, etc.) to get everyone together and then escorts everyone out to the bars/clubs later. No pressure if you're doing your own thing obviously and you can also hang out at the hostel if you like.

Disliked: Nothing comes to mind...

Liked: great atmosphere, very friendly, great staff. i arrived a day late but they did not charge me for the xtra nite as they were able to sell my bed. speaks to the character of the place- extremely welcoming, not at all corporate

Liked: This is surely the best hostel I have ever lived in! The staff is great and welcoming and it is almost impossible to feel like an outsider. The first thing they say to you when they come is that Hostel One Paralelo is not a hostel, it is your home. Me and my friend wanted to stay some extra nights in the hostel but here were no rooms avalible, Then the staff helped us book a different hostel nearby to put our things and sleep in but they made it clear for us that it was perfectly fine that we used the facilitys and hanged out with them at the hostel all day/night long even though we actually did not rent a room there enymore. they even cooked dinner for us that night! so, if I ever go back to Barcelona, I know where to live. Hostel One Paralelo! Feels like my Barcelona home and I actually MISS it.

Disliked: NOTHING AT ALL.

Liked: The hostel is great! It is quite small, but that makes the stay even better! It is very easy to get to know other people from all over the world. The staff is very very nice and helpful. They try to help you and give advice to you where they can. Some nights they offer free cocktails or free dinner for all guests - which is very good - all guests are sitting at one big table and eat together - it feels almost like in a family.

Disliked: The only thing I wouldn't recommend is a 6-bed-dorm, because this dorm also leads to other dorms and bathrooms and it can get real noisy at night and in the morning as well.

Liked: The stay in this hostel was very good. The staff of the hostel was very helpful and I felt pretty comfortable from the moment I arrived. Another point was that I had to stay one day less in the hostel and the staff was able to reverse the money from me last night. Very cool!

Liked: first of all, staffs were really friendly, kind, charming, helpful for everything. and all the other guests were friendly too, so they had dinner together every evening. I really liked the mood in this hostel.

Liked: I loved the friendly vibe created in the evening, as well as the helpfulness of the staff when asking questions and tips about Barcelona

Liked: This is a great hostel...the staff, in particular, are very accommodating. There is a dinner/cooking class planned almost every night, they are happy to recommend places to go, places to eat, how to get there, help with reservations, etc., and in my case were even kind enough to mail a camera battery and charger that I had forgotten. The hostel itself is a bit sprawling but pretty nice and has everything you need. The location is a little hard to find at first, but is about 25 minutes by foot from Las Ramblas and is very close to a major metro station.

Disliked: No real complaints.

Liked: Everything! Location, price, cleanliness, security... Truly everything! Above all, I've never stayed at a hostel as friendly and nice as this hostel. Every single staff was sooo helpful, friendly and kind!

Disliked: Nothing! It was a bit tough for girls like us to carry a heavy suitcase on a slope from the closest station to the hostel but it didn't bother us much :)

Liked: The atmosphere was amazing! Sitting round the table on the patio at night gave everyone a great chance to meet and share stories over a meal. Due to the smaller size of this hostel you got a more personal and homely feel and had more chance to socialize with other travellers. The hostel and it's staff really do make your stay a happy one!

Disliked: Nothing really, the only pointer would be that you might have to walk through an occupied room to get to your room. This however was not an issue as all the travellers respected each other and kept quiet when passing through. Due to the way this hostel advertises itself you find that it keeps away the "party hostel" atmosphere and encourages a more respectful clientele.
