Liked: Fantastic staff - very friendly and extremely helpful. Great location - close to metro, easy to access everywhere you may want to go. Kitchen space and free breakfast always appreciated. No time limit for leaving luggage during the day.

Disliked: A couple more bathrooms would have been nice but the ones that were there were very clean. Heard a couple other people complaining about noise from the road, but our room was fine in that regard - just noisy from people in the hall

Liked: Fantastic central position near Passeig de Gracia station, Rambla de Catalunya, the main Gaudi houses. Good wifi, good breakfast, lift, great staff.

Liked: Its nice and small as a whole, so you'll get much better rest/privacy here than at one of the big, busy hostels

Disliked: Just one computer available, and its in the hallway between the bedrooms and the toilet. Could be moved eslewhere, with a more comfortable chair.

Liked: A real old charming apartment building, with a quirky, brilliant 100 year old lift, situated just off the top of the main Ramblas, very busy road at front, helpful, easy going staff, felt very safe and secure here! We are in our 50's, and had the double room at the front - get earplugs! But the bed was SUPERB ! First time we have used a hostel, and this was a pretty good start ! Breakfast was simple but tasty and plentiful. Could do with another sofa in the communal area for comfort, but space is tight. Showers were great. We highly recommend this place. It's a credit to the world of hosteling.

Disliked: Bit basic - but you gets what you pay for ! (And we have no other bench mark)

Liked: Staff great, very helpful and friendly. Room very clean and had a safe. Cost included basic breakfast. Amazing hot chocolate! Excellent location, 2 mins from metro and Las Ramblas.

Disliked: The kitchen space is a bit too small, difficult for more than 4/5 people to be in there at once.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and gave great advice on navigating the city as well as where to go to get the local scoop. Facilities were cleaned daily, not to mention the fact that the staff diligently reminded all guests of their responsibility to clean up after themselves. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that the beds were very comfortable and that much of the hostel has recently undergone renovation. The location is also a huge advantage. Centrally located, the hostel provides quick access to the main strip, metro's and of course Goudi sites. Make sure to ask the staff how to get there, must see!

Disliked: The only complaint we had was that the internet service was intermittent at the best of times. This is to be expected when staying in a hostel so not too much to look at. If you are surfing the internet while in Barcelona you have probably gone mad.

Liked: The hostel is in a great location. It's very easy to walk to all the main attractions. It feels very safe and secure and was much easier to find than I had expected from reading other reviews. There are plenty of shops and cafes around.

Disliked: The kitchen is small but I was up early in the mornings so it wasn't a problem for me.

Liked: The staff was very helpful and accomodating, the kitchen was clean and the breakfast provided was complete - eggs, toast, coffee, milk, cereal. Cool atmosphere, nice central location right off of La Rambla. We felt very secure and comfortable with the other guests, leaving our bags while we were away, and hanging out in the common area. It was nice that they provide a computer and internet access for guests.

Disliked: Can be a bit pricey depending on when you're there.

Liked: Really safe, really nice staff. Great location.

Disliked: Very smal hostel, meant that there weren't any activities on offer. Kitchen quite small, bathrooms not very clean and not enough of them... But it wasn't a bad hostel.

Liked: The location! It's only 3 minutes from the Metro station, there are lots of restaurants and shopping facilities nearby. It's very clean and the staff are helpful.

Disliked: The computer didn't work on many occassions. People should be advised when to have breakfast to avoid crowd in the kitchen.

Liked: Great location.

Disliked: The property internally is very noisy, the opening and closing of the doors reverberates through the whole property, making it difficult at times to find a quiet moment.

Liked: Close to the city center and a major train station, friendly and helpful staff!

Disliked: There were only 2 small tables in the kitchen and the common area was a bit small. I wish there were more toilets and showers. It gets quite noisy since it's along a major road, due to music and other backpackers in different rooms.

Liked: The hostel is basically two apartments, one on the floor below the other. When given our room we were issued with keys to the property, this allowed us to come and go as we please and did not have to rely on the receptionist. The breakfast was also very good and having tea and coffee available all day is great. During the time we stayed we experience 3 separate receptionists, all of which were lovely and friendly.

Disliked: Due to the nature of the property the rooms have very little natural light. The rooms are also painted various garish colours, maybe white would have brightened up the place more. Although our private twin room was very quiet many of the other travellers has said their rooms are very noisy are they are on the main road. You also need to be very smart when deciding when to try to use the WIFI, at busy times it is very slow and during our stay the WIFI in the top apartment was not working and we had to sit in the 'common area' to use it.

Liked: Excellent location, very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, nice breakfast. we would recommend it and would happily stay there again.

Disliked: The room facing the main street was a bit noisey.
