Liked: The location is great, it's super clean and organized. The staff are friendly and helpful , the security system is awesome. Even the shared bathrooms are enough for the people living on the same floor , you don't have to wait. Internet signal is also good.

Disliked: Security system could be too much though , since sometimes the room door code doesn't work. Kitchen time should be longer than 2pm, even if we don't cook, might need the fridge sometimes to keep our stuff.

Liked: The hostel is centrally situated and just metres from where the airport bus stops, so it is very convenient. I did take note of comments from others about the unmarked front door and so managed to find it easily. There is a lovely coffee shop across the road and a number of places to eat nearby. The accommodation is fairly basic, but there was a safe in my room, which was fabulous, and the kitchen was open all the time. The fridge was situated in the dining area, so access was never a problem. The linen and towels are changed regularly and the bathrooms cleaned thoroughly. I also liked the fact that they accepted a credit card. I can definitely recommend this property as an inexpensive place to stay when visiting a fantastic city.

Disliked: The shower in our bathroom was broken (the bracket holding it up) which meant that you had to hold the shower in your hand while trying to wash. I did report this, and I was there for 7 nights. It was not fixed. There were also a few other travellers that were not particularly considerate and I was woken at 5am on a few occassions. My room was, unfortunately, right across from the bathroom. The floors were also fairly dusty and having no rugs or carpets on the floors meant that sound carries and echoes down the passage. One other small issue was that the passage light was permanently on (couldn't figure out how to switch it off) and the light shone in under my door. All in all it is not a bad place to stay and I would still recommend it.

Liked: We liked the colourful rooms and of course the central location.

Disliked: Not really a dislike - you should just know that for breakfast tea, coffee and cereals are provided but not milk.

Liked: Great location (about as easy as it gets from the airport), sheets and bed felt very clean, common areas were clean and bathrooms were well kept.

Disliked: The floors looked a little dirty but they could have just been from the old building and one of the showers didn't have a mount for the faucet head.

Liked: location is somewhat convenient

Disliked: - a few cockroaches in kitchen - shower drain is overflowing - paper thin walls (bring your earplugs). - owner is uncooperative and beyond rude as exemplified here under: i locked my keys inside my room at 21:30 & went to the reception where there was no one (as forewarned on the sign ; no big deal) so i called the cell phone number on the business card. first try it rings/no one answers. the next following tries the phone is 'out of zone'. locked out of my room & apartment i had no other solution but to find another hostel for the night. the next morning when i rather casually mentioned to the owner that maybe it would be a good thing to have some kind of an emergency number in case of.. ..emergencies(!) he told me: 1) that it wasn't a hostel, he was just renting out rooms (i guess there are NO emergencies when you rent out rooms..), 2) he was VERY aggressive about how i shouldn't tell him how to run his business & that if i wasn't happy i could leave and forfeit my second night (w/out a refund, obviously), 3) he kept asking me: "what would you do if you were in your hometown and were locked out of your apartment? you would call a locksmith!" -well yes, but that's the whole point: i'm not in my hometown, i'm a tourist in Barcelona in a jam in your rentals, buddy! beyond the sheer stupidity of such remarks, just realize that if you stay at Barcelona Rooms and you have ANY kind of problems with your accommodation (overflowing toilet, lost key, door stuck, etc) from 21h01 until 08h59 you're on your own (in a foreign city), the owner couldn't care less...

Liked: Ww liked the fact that the apartment had a well equipped kitchen, computer, nice bathrooms and little balcony to sit on.

Disliked: Not really a dislike, just a warning for those booking with a lot of luggage, We only had hand luggage so it was no problem to arrive at the address given for reception and then discover that our apartment was actually 6 mins walk away. It was fine, but could have been an issue if we had a lot of bags.

Liked: Excelent Location!

Disliked: Too much noise - very thin walls since you could clearly ear all the neighbours; Rooms in bad condition; The price for the overall conditions of the room is very high; no touristic information in all apt.

Liked: the room, kitchen, toilets and bathrooms were clean and welcoming. the lady at the reception was kind and helpful. the location is nice not in the middle of all the noise and poeple but close enought to everything.

Disliked: there wasn't any sign outside so i thought i got the wrong adress at first.

Liked: It was clean, the atmosphere was great and whatever we needed to it was provided.

Liked: We had a Superior Private Double room which meant sharing two toilets, a shower and a well equipped kitchen with about four other rooms in the same apartment. We hardly saw any of the others living there so it was a calm and nice stay. Everything was clean and nice. We had a shared good sized balcony towards the yard. Quite close to the metro and not too far from the centre. One could in principle walk but the public transport is quite cheap anyway.

Disliked: This is really nothing I dislike but good to know is that The Superior Private Double room is not by the hostels reception. It was in fact closer to the centre. We didn't know in advance where this would be, which could have been interesting. Furthermore, the reception is where it is supposed to be so it's in principle easy to find, but there's no big sign outside the door and you have to ring a bell on the shared outer door to make them come and greet you. The staff was very helpful however.

Liked: we were virtually alone the whole time in the superior room complex.

Disliked: The rooms were in a different complex to advertised, but the location was probably a bit better.

Disliked: Not a lot of opportunity to meet other travellers.
