Liked: We booked a double room, but received a (super) appartment in a block 200 meters further. There were common facilities, free high speed internet, a super kitchen, a spacious bathroom, a big screen television, and all spotnessly clean. The db room ensuite has even a jacuzzi. The apartment is very secure and the location is very good and quiet.But all is in the neighbourhood for food and drinks : supermarkets, bakeries,small and luxuruous restaurants, snackbars, cafés and footballbars. The metro is near, as the direct ( not overpriced) bus to and from the airport.

Liked: The room is basic but the hostel has everything I need (the free internet & WiFi has been a godsend!). The reception staff are wonderfully helpful. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for budget travelers like myself and being a lone female traveler I feel very safe. I have extended my stay and would highly recommend Barcelona Rooms.

Disliked: There is no sign at the front which was a little confusing (although I can be easily confused at times!)but the building from the outside almost looks abandoned. I am travelling coming into the European winter so its getting quite cold, I am travelling with a sleeping bag which I have needed to use here at Barcelona Rooms but for travellers who may not have one, they will need to ask reception before 9pm for extra blankets, not that its a bad thing....just a handy tip!

Liked: Inside one of Barcelona's beautiful old stone buildings, 40 m from asubway exit. Kitchen to make coffee and relax if you like with some items you bought at the supermarket 30m away.

Liked: Very cool atmosphere and decor. Friendly staff..he knew my name before I even said it! Free internet, safe, use of kitchen, nice shower.

Liked: It was clean, big kitchen, plenty of space.

Disliked: Our room was without outside window, therefore no light. The beds were noisy, squeaking and there was terrible noice from outside every night, evening. Either made by lift or something else.

Liked: locality to metro and airport bus...sant antoni market

Disliked: ensuite bathroom where there was no water in the shower. tv/radio didn´t work in room no hot water in other showers in corridor could never get anyone at reception

Liked: we stayed in a private double deluxe ensuite room, and even had a jacuzzi in our bathroom!!the apartment was great and had everything you needed, it was lovely and decorated with attention to detail.Had the apartment to ourselves for the first night, and then had another nice couple staying there!Was near to everything, supermarket next door and metro station around the corner - perfect!

Liked: It was very nice to have a double room at a reasonable price, we felt safe leaving our stuff and could always get good rest when we went back. The kitchen was also very good. Close enough to walk, but also by the metro and night buses which was convenient.

Disliked: Dont use the elevator! Its jumpy and scared us both to death the first day.

Disliked: There was no lift and we were hosted in the fifth floor.

Liked: large living area and cooking facilities were a bonus. Everything modern, clean and tidy.

Disliked: Check in time. They refused to let us check in after 9pm which was when our bus arived. We only needed an hours grace max but no way. Result -with Barcelona fully booked- A night on the street sitting outside bus station with homeless guys. Thanks SO much.
