Liked: I really liked how new and renovated the rooms were. It gave a feeling of a quaint Spanish apartment with modern paint and facilities. I liked the view from the 4th floor, nice seeing how others lived around, and the communal balcony had an amazing view. The staff was helpful with my questions about where the aerobus was and when to take it. Nice compartments for each room in the fridge. Showers were clean and did their job.

Disliked: The promised breakfast lacked any milk so it was just dried cornflakes and tea/coffee. The fourth floor was tiring to get to (many many stairs!). The kitchen closed at 14:00 every day. It got very hot as only a fan but no air-conditioning. The sign at the door of the hostel is very small and had to ask 3 or 4 of the locals before understanding where it was (the sign is on the left buzzers of the entrance).

Liked: During our stay everything went really smoothly from booking to checking-out. We got what we have been promised in the description of Hostelbookers. Besides the good location and good value for money which we particularly appreciated, we really like the hostel's nice modern and colourful interior and its cleanliness. Everything worked, everything was clean and tidy, the room was spacious and there was ample space for our belongings. It's sure that next time we'll choose Barcelona Rooms again!

Disliked: We didn't really have any dislikes, the place was fabtastic for a weekend-trip. There was only one thing we found strange: the kitchen is really a "breakfast kitchen", because it's open between 7:30 and 14:00, then it is closed with a time lock, and then cannot be opened with the room code. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything (there is a big fridge as well), but we couldn't leave things in it on the day before we left, because it was closed at 14:00 and not open until 07:30 a.m. next day. We had to leave before 7:30, so we had to leave our milk and other things without refrigeration for more than a half-day in the room. (Thanks God, they didn't go off, and we can had them for breakfast in the morning.)

Liked: When I arrived at the office on Urgell, I was greeted by someone friendly at the front desk. I was walked about four blocks away to the apartment where my private bedroom was (one of four bedrooms in the apartment.) She showed me around the apartment, and gave me instructions for checking out. The apartment was in a great location; I arrived on the Aerobus easily, walked to Las Ramblas, and could generally get where I needed to go on foot. I also felt very safe.

Disliked: I don't think the apartment was as clean as it could have been. The sheets smelled like cigarettes. I couldn't close the blinds to my bedroom window. The shower head in the bathroom was kind of grimy. The people in the living room stayed up until midnight talking, right outside of my bedroom. These were annoyances that just made it less comfortable, but overall a decent experience.

Liked: Not much. In six weeks of travel in Spain and Portugal this would be the worst experience by far

Disliked: The total disinterest of the staff. The lack of cleanliness in the self catering area. The confined area and unpleasant smell of our en suite bathroom. I was quite unwell when we arrived but the staff showed no concern or interest.

Liked: Good location, walking distance to the city but also good public transport links. Room had an awesome balcony view. Staff were very helpful and friendly on check in. We stayed 3 nights, and after the 2nd night the linen and towels in our room were changed which was welcome and unexpected in this style of accommodation. Bathroom was very cute and shower was good. Was very clean.

Disliked: Sound proofing between rooms and the hallway seemed non-existent unfortunately

Liked: I stayed 3 days in a single room, small hut clear.. especially shred bathroom. it is Excellent local with nicest kitchen includes facilitiesh at hotel, it.s definetly worth to stay again.

Liked: It's great if you are a couple who just wants to be a couple and not meet anybody. The location is good and close to transport and old town. If you have backpacked before then you can work it out but if you are not very traveled then you are left on your own.

Disliked: THe floors were dirty. So much so we had to vacuum our room before unpacking. The computer wasn't working and the washing machine also didn't work properly. There is an air conditioner in the room but no control so you aren't able to use it. We arrived to the reception with our stuff only to find out our apartment was two blocks away so carrying our stuff was not fun. We had no idea if there were other people staying there. YOu very much keep to yourself.

Liked: It's fantastic place with old charming character.Clean and maintained in proper way.Situated quite close to town centre and most of attractions of town.Good home atmosphere and privacy guaranteed.Helpfull staff will give You all information needed.I will be back to barcelona Rooms again:)

Liked: like a share flat waiting for new members. Nice rooms, almost free breakfast. Very good "all-in-all-feeling"

Liked: Everything! Super clean and safe. Each floor has a kitchen, dinning room, etc. Room fully equiped (tv, bathroom renovated, nice linen, etc.) The staff was really helpfull and gave good info about the city. Simply the best hotel I have stayed in Europe.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Very clean, simple, comfortable, nice kitchen' staff' good bathroom. Location good, a bit to walk but quite and nice safe neighberhood. only 20 min from the center of the center.

Liked: Great location, beside urgell metro. Good places to eat (including a nice veggie restaurant around the corner). Will definitely stay there again. Good value.

Disliked: Not a big deal but the wifi cuts out sometimes.

Liked: Good place to meet people and socialize while still having the privacy of your own room. However small room numbers per flat (4 rooms in ours) mean it is a bit of a gamble who you end up with in your flat.

Disliked: Could do with a communal area for all the flats (eg small bar),
