Liked: Showers were good with very good hot water that you could fully adjust. Location is safe and excellent. Very cheap, bargain

Liked: This is a cheap and cheerful kinda place. For the price I expected a lot less and have certainly stayed in far worse places on my travels. The staff were really nice, the rooms are a bit small and crowded but then again really what do you expect for under ten euros at New Years Eve? Everywhere else was asking three or four times the price and I was really happy to find a clean bed within walking distance of central Barcelona. If you hate walking then you can the underground for 2 or 3 stops.

Disliked: It's all been said in the other reviews on this page and I can't be bothered repeating it except to say that it isn't as bad as some people seem to think. It probably depends on whether you are trying to travel the world on a tight budget, or having a holiday where you can afford a few luxuries. If you are on a tight budget and don't have a lot of time to mess about finding a place, then this is fine. As always when staying in a dorm, keep your valuables with you and don't expect luxury!

Liked: There's nothing that makes this place unique or likable...

Disliked: where do I start...the street outside the hostel is super busy, so there are often people chatting outside or inside the entrance floor (which only has stairs and the elevator there...My room was so small it could only fit the 2 bankbeds and certainly not 4 people in it. There was only one window, which didn't face "outside" really, it faced the internal stairs which everyone in the hostel uses to go up and down the floors. There are two main entrance doors at each floor, the Left and the Right doors, each of which makes an awful lot of noise to open/close, and those doors where both next to my room. So the room was tiny, and with no real window for fresh air (and I was mostly alone or with just one more person in the room, I cannot imagine being there with 3 others!), and so much noise (NOT from partying as they try to mislead you with their description, but with just people coming and going) you cannot sleep there. If you ARE looking for a place to meet more people and to have some good time, this is NOT the place to do this...this is really a place that retrofitted a few storage rooms with bankbeds and/or toilets, perhaps similar to a lab-rat facility, that has absolutely no atmosphere (as in let's meet more people at least)...nothing at all! And if you think at least you're getting a good location, again you're mislead, because there's a huge radius around this hostel that is EQUALLY central to everything, there's absolutely nothing special about this hostel.

Liked: fantastic location

Disliked: no record of our booking. we were given 3 room keys before we arrived in one with spare beds. rooms v small and cramped (although for 6 quid a night maybe that should be expected). directions on the listing on here could have been more helpful ie. the train from the airport was better and cheaper than the bus suggested.

Liked: Great location, great for meeting people, especially in the dorms.

Disliked: Very cramped rooms (they literally shoved as many beds as they could possibly fit in the dorms so there was barely any space to walk or put your stuff). Not enough lockers for everyone in the room--we were in a 12-bed dorm and there were only two lockers. Breakfast is basically nonexistent, we ended up having to buy our own food.

Liked: The location is great

Disliked: The rooms are tiny and during the weekend it is very loud so you cannot sleep - plus the kitchen is on the same floor as the sleeping rooms... too much noise!

Liked: Loved the location and the internet was very convenient and functional. The upstairs lounge is really nice equipped with a kitchen at your disposal.

Disliked: There weren't a lot of dishes or pots and pans provided to cook a meal and the floor boards in the room were coming apart. Also the mattress was not comfortable.

Liked: The location was decent and then price was good.

Disliked: I didn't appreciate the cleanliness of the hostel. The bathrooms were quite dirty and the dishes in the kitchen were also dirty. The breakfast was quite poor.
