Liked: It was my first stay in Barcelona and this hostel was really good located so i could go most of the places with just walking 15-20 minutes maximum. Just a few place were a little far but the metro station is very close to the hostel so that was not a problem.There was a reception which was 24 hour open so whenever you come it won't be a problem. And people who are working there were really nice and cheerful.Hostel was very clean. Sheets were for free. Just the towels were for 3 euro but that was ok. There were 2 computers which are connected to the internet. And a free wireless internet was also there for use. My dorm was with 6 beds and it was big enough to stay. The lounge was very nice to spend time. Breakfast was also nice. Place was safe i didn't see any problem there. If you like to come back to the hostel after midnight it won't be a problem.So i can recommend this pretty hostel to stay during your vacation in Barcelona...Greets from Turkey :-)

Liked: It´s a really lovely hostel of just the right size. They´re pretty strict on noise at nights, so don´t come here if you like to continue your party back at your hostel. But that doesn´t mean you can´t party, just don´t do it IN the hostel!They´re pretty good with security, but even they fall prey to the many petty thiefs in BCN - watch out for your things, a friend had her iPhone stolen in the lounge by guys that managed to slip in off the street.

Liked: It was amazing to stay there. Friendly staff, it is described honestly on the HotelBookers website. I'd definitely recommend this youth hostel to anyone.

Liked: It's a very cute hostel with a homely feel, the staff are friendly and it's located close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay here although they could revise their directions to the hostel we got a little lost trying to find the blue building, which i'm not sure exists.

Liked: Two level hostel so it's a great way to meet people, but the walls are very thin so you can hear noise from the downstairs commonroom late into the night. Bathrooms and rooms are cleaned every morning so it's very clean. Breakfast is bread, cereal and OJ. They have Sangria nights every Friday at 10pm for free. Great place, recommended.

Liked: I stayed with a friend of mine to this hostel. We both stayed very satisfied . It is a great place to stay! The stuff is very friendly, the place is very clean (specially the bathrooms). It is one of the best hostels that I have been. Definitely, I would recommend this hostel to other travelers.

Liked: Staff is really helpful about anything, it was kinda cold in the room so they actually took time to put the heater on, if you want a tea at midnight, they will give it to you; they will propose you a hot chocolate at 1AM, they help you cook, they don't ask you to pay for luggage room, they are okay if you check in before the usual arrival time, there is also a free internet access on 2 computers...What can I say, honestly it is one of the best hostel I've ever been to !

Liked: The staff are very friendly and organised a fun sangria night at the hostel. The girls' bathroom at the time we were there, had one shower not working but didnt seem to be an issue at all. When I arrived after having my bag stolen and lost everything, the guy was understanding and offered us some breakfast food since we were hungry. Place was very clean and they re-make ur bed every morning. A couple more computers and better breakfast options (very sugary, no healthier option) would be appreciated but a great place nonetheless.

Liked: My group of seven friends stayed at Albareda for four nights and it was amazing. We loved the staff and the hostel was spotless. We noticed the friendliness of the atmosphere upon arriving and it only got better. The owners, Giti and Souroush were so amazing and friendly to us. They showed us multiple programs for each day that we stayed in Barcelona and it helped us to have a better trip than we could have had by ourselves. It was as if the hotel came equipped with a travel agency. The bathrooms were so clean (which is of course important) as were the rooms. It made for a very comfortable stay.We definitely recommend this hostel to anybody who wants to fully take advantage of Barcelona-style hospitality.

Liked: Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, gave good advice on what to see and how to get around. Rooms were a little small, but clean. Lockers in the were big, which was great. Showers and bathroom were clean as well (but sometimes had a line for showers). Location is about a 5-10 minute walk to the bottom of the ramblas, so it's convenient to walk the many touristy places that are centrally located in Barcelona. The walk is through an area that's a little deserted at night, though. I felt okay walking back to the hostel with my female friend, but walking back alone as a female I probably would've been fine but felt a bit uneasy. (To give some context, though, I often feel uneasy when it's after dark, I'm someplace that I don't know, I'm alone, and there aren't a huge number of people nearby.) Overall, I liked the hostel, and if I was traveling with a friend, I would go back. On a non-hostel note: I would skip the paella specials that are right along la rambla. If you want something in the area, I would try eating on Carrer Ferran, a main street right off the ramblas.

Liked: Good location, clean, tidy, quite nice really. In fact the word nice sums it up nicely. The sort of hostel where you wouldn`t feel threatened if you brewed up a cup, took out some Jane Austen and a few digestives and whiled the night away in crazy style. They also have a tips jar, never seen that before...

Liked: I liked the bright, fresh decor, the warm friendly staff, the location, the cosy atmosphere, the fact that there was *really* free internet access - and not just free WiFi for those with laptops like it usually is at other hostels that say they have free internet access.

Liked: Nice clean modern hostel. We had a guy who was really helpful and made us Sangria & organised a pizza night. - Location is good and bad: 5-10 mins walk to Parallel metro which is only a few stops to main stations, however the street surrounding the actual hostel is pretty dodgy (saw a bum sleeping on the alley way). I didn't feel in danger though. Also unfortunate enough to have a room overlooking the street of the restaurant so there was alot of street noise and conversations outside which disrupted sleep.- 24 hour reception and you need to buzz to get in which is good for security.- Kitchen area good to meet people. Equipped with books, guitar, couches and a good kitchen.- Internet provided for free, phone available for an extra charge.
