Liked: Best hostel ever. Superfriendly staff who really takes care of you, the owner made paella and sangria for all the guests one evening! Chill-out area in the lobby, great place to meet people and have a drink (no problem bringing your own beer in, despite what it says in the description). At night it's very quiet, though. Good location, close to metro. If you are going to Barcelona, stay here!

Liked: Really nice hostel - the staff are very friendly and hold free sangria nights on Fridays. Very clean - even the dorm floors are swept and mopped every morning. Kitchen is pretty well equipped for a hostel. The free breakfast is fine - white bread toast with jam, cornflakes and coffee and juice.Nice communal areas where you can easily meet other travellers and there are two computers with free internet. Very secure.

Liked: The place is the meeting point of young people all over world where you can make new friends.The staff was so helpful and nice and breakfast was really good,too.

Disliked: In dorms there is an air conditioner that is controlled by hostel staff and it blows on you at night it was very disturbing and couldnt sleep well because of cold.The place was fun but also too noisy and crowded for whom looking for quiet places.

Liked: Great atmosphere. Air conditioning was much appreciated. Fun shared area that travellers can meet in. Staff really helpful with things to do and see, how to get there, and even tips on keeping yourself safe from the Barcelona pickpockets! Close to the Metro, buses, shopping, bars and beach.

Disliked: Sometimes the streets around it felt a little dark and dodgy if walking alone late at night, but thats not their fault!

Liked: Really friendly, helpful staff. Relaxed -- not a massive party hostel, but with a nice space for eating and chatting -- I met people there and went out every night. They quieten the communal space down after midnight, but before that they're more than happy to have everyone having a drink and a laugh, even providing the sangria sometimes.No complaints about the room. If anything the aircon was too good! Would happily go again.

Liked: Very fun place to stay, meet people, party! good location, safe, clean! bathrooms good. aircon which is a MUST in hot BCN. The guy at reception, cant remember his name but SO SO helpful!!

Liked: Short walk to Las Ramblas and to metro and tour bus stops. Very helpful staff. Top marks for cleanliness too.

Disliked: A little difficult to find when arriving late the first night. Once I got my bearings it was easy to get too.

Liked: looks exactly like the pictures, quite modern inside, good aircon, flat screen tv, staff really friendly, nice breakfast, situated close enough to le rambla to get there in 5 mins, but not so close that you can't sleep because of the noise

Disliked: there were 3 showers and 3 toilets, but only two toilets and 2 showers were accessible so at times there would be a cue

Liked: A great place to stay if you are looking for a nice, quiet place to spend the night, or to meet other fellow travelers. Met awesome people during our four day stay in Barcelona. The staff was excellent, extremely helpful, and fluent in English. The rooms were a bit cramped but the common area was nice. Great location - a 5 minute walk from La Ramblas and about 15 minutes from the beach. We got our own lockers, so that was nice. There is also a washer and dryer for laundry.

Liked: It was clean, the staff was helpful, and the free internet was a major plus when compared to the other hostels i stayed at. Above all though, I met a lot of great people from all over Europe at the hostel. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Barcelona not only for the amazing city but also to meet people from all over the world

Liked: Really chilled out nice hostel in the centre of barca ... great location, especially for getting to Sonar music festival! Lockers in each room, secure front door ... free internet, tv area. Only downside is the kitchen is that extensive, there´s only one hob. V. friendly staff!

Liked: Great clean place to stay. Staff are very helpful and its close to the Metro Parallel. Its not far from La Rambla street which is the main strip. Its also about 10min walk from a great restaurant called La Fonda ( I went three nights out of 5 night stay). I would definitely stay here again

Liked: Oh my gosh I freaking LOVED this place. The people at the desk were super helpful!! I met some of the coolest people while staying here and we had a blast going out for drinks and to the water fountain show. The hostel is pretty chill and not big on bringing the party back home...so if you like to be loud and obnoxiously drunk please don´t come :) Still, don´t think they will keep you from having fun...they fully promote fun, but try to assure you have a nice quite place when you are ready to sleep. This hostel is bomb because they give you a comfortable place to sleep, start your day off with free breakfast, provide a huge kitchen where you can cook and eat on your own, plus the location is wonderful in my opinion. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and Las Ramblas...the farthest sight is Parc Guell...but it makes for a nice walk through the city. Truly I can´t speak highly enough of this hostel. After the first night I was surprised that my top sheet had been stripped, but then I realized it was because they give you a clean sheet every night!! I thought that was grand. The place is cheerful and very relaxed. Internet is a bit slow, but other than that I can´t say enough positive about my stay here. I would definitely stay here again, and I hope the people at Albareda know they are doing an excellent job.
