Liked: it had a really great atomosphere! the main room/lobby was always full of people to meet. the beds are super comfy after a long day and the bedding is really clean.

Disliked: the floor in the room needed to be swept, but was easily avoided with the use of flipflops which i would have worn anyways just out of principle.

Liked: I have stayed in a few places in Barcelona and this has got to be one of the best, hands down. Staff are fun and friendly, the location is ideal and the value for money is 10/10! I organised for a group of 9 of us to come stay and we ended up with a dorm to ourselves which was great and the security cards for lockers was a nice touch too! Also the pick up for pub crawls nightly was appreciated :)

Disliked: nothing.

Liked: I enjoyed my stay in this hostel very much. Good there was free breakfast, a kitchen and individual lockers next to the bed. Enough showers and everything was clean. Good price for this hostel.

Liked: Very good location, modern good social area with comfortable sofas, computers and wifi access

Disliked: Unfriendly staff, very poor breakfast, was moved rooms without prior notice, colleagues in our room had their property moved into another room without permission, air conditioning was insufficient in both rooms, the window in the room looked out over a store room, overpriced washing facilities, old and uncomfortable beds

Liked: good price... very safe... the staff is so friendly and helpfully... easy to find, close to a metro station and some touristic points... great atmosphere, in the living room there's always a good song playing... breakfast could have more options... I really liked my days in Barcelona!

Disliked: Its necessary free linen to the beds looks clean...

Liked: Great location, very close to La Ramla. Air condition, we loved it.

Disliked: 7% fee if pay by credit card. Breakfast was poor, only bread, jam, milk and corn flake, which was more like a snack. Tiny guess kitchen.

Liked: Very nice and helpful staffs, facilities are good with big lovkers in rooms for everyone. Many activities are organised everyday. The free walking tours are extremely good, highly recommended. The tour guides Zophia and Adam are nice and the tour is very informative. The pub crawls is also very good.

Disliked: Not an excellent position. The tapas and flamingo tour is fair, not very nice tapas but very good show.

Liked: Be Hostels Mar is a fantastic hostel. Definitely one of the best I have stayed in. Staff are really helpful and friendly and the hostel puts on events like the free walking tour, flamenco and tapas tour and a bar crawl- all really well organised and really good fun. The dorms are small (we were in a 10 bed dorm) but this didn't matter as it didn't feel like 10 people were sleeping in their- just really well set out. Beds are comfy and the lockers are free and large enough to fit a relatively large suitcase or backpack in which is great for security and keeping the dorm spacious.

Disliked: 2 of the showers weren't working.

Liked: I liked that they gave you a card to open the main door and the door to the in-room lockers, but then I realized that the same card key opens the door to other rooms as well! So I'm not sure it's as safe as you're led to believe. But the beds were comfortable enough, the rooms were clean and the air conditioning was lovely. I also found it fairly easy to meet people.

Disliked: There was the key thing I mentioned before, and also the WiFi only worked downstairs in the common room. And the location could have been better, it was a bit of a sketchy area. But perhaps I didn't explore properly – I was only there for one full day and Barcelona is a pretty big city.

Liked: The staff is awesome, so friendly and great to hang out with. The common room is a wonderful place to meet other travelers and everything is well organized. This isn't a hostel where you get a continental breakfast and private showers but you get just what you need and it's a really fun time.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Very friendly staff!! The gothic and gaudi tour was very interesting. The guides were a lot of fun. Any question you had to asked could be answered. People in the hostel gave you good recommodations were to go and were to eat! And also were not to go at a certain time, so you felt very safe.

Liked: The location was about the best part, since it is right down the street from the main tourist drag, the beach, and Montjüic Park. It is also between two Metro lines, so getting to other places is convenient too. You just have to brave walking through the red light district to get there.

Disliked: Unclean!!! Uncomfortable, and absolutely no charm. Staying in a hostel in barcelona should be kinda fun, but just imagine a lot of florescent lights and really dirty bathrooms. They play music from speakers in the hallway, which is kinda nice at first, until you realize you can hear it from your room while you try to sleep. The mattresses are also pretty uncomfortable, considering I have slept on thin ones before. The floors are pretty dirty as well, take a close look and yu can see they haven´t been mopped in a while. Wouldn´t walk around in just socks or leave my clothes on the ground. There are a lot of younger travellers staying here and most of them stay in the hostel at night and drink. Most hostels are like this, but maybe only if the lobby is cool and decked out with plants and dim lighting and maybe a pool table or something. But this hostel just kinda has bright office lighting with some old couches and white walls. I eventually switched my hostel and found the charm I was looking for and met some more interesting folks that were also a tick older and had more interest in the culture here. You might want to do more research before staying at Be Mar!!!
