Liked: Location! Metro, Shopping, Nightlife, everything is near. It's located in the heart of gay scene in Barcelona.

Disliked: Heating is too much! and we cannot control. I know, it's special cold on these days, but our room was too hot and I turned on the air condition! lol (Guests can control air conditions!)

Liked: very clean, comfortable bed, excellent toilets. Location is good too 10 min walk or less from Passeig de Gracia metro. easy to find, and safe as they have 24 hrs reception. Wonderful room and staff.

Disliked: single room is a little pricey

Liked: The location is really great - close to the metro and just around the corner from Gaudi's Casa Battllo!

Disliked: There was no room to meet others, only the entrance. The rooms facing the streets were loud.

Liked: This hostel is in a great location. Its only a short walk from Placa Cataluyna - the centre of Barcelona. The rooms are very clean and so are the bathrooms. There is a locker for your bags. The building is very secure and in a safe spot. They have wi-fi The staff are very helpful, answering any questions at anytime of the night or day.

Disliked: If you're after a hostel where you can chill and meet people in the lounge room or whatever, then this isnt your place. There isnt anywhere to cook food or hang out with other people except for your own room.

Liked: The location is great, just a 5-10 minute walk to Placa Catalunya and 5-10 minutes the other way to Casa Batllo and Passaig de Gracia. They gave me a free map and pounted me to a few places, including circling the hostel in case I got totally lost! The room was clean, the beds were cozy and the overall atmosphere was nice and quiet, I was able to sleep easily.

Disliked: I booked a three nights stay and after I booked they emailed me to tell me I would have to change beds in the same room halfway through my stay which seemed fine. But when it came time to switch I was told I had to do it as a check out so I had to have all of my stuff packed up by 12 and move it from my (very nice) locker to another but I planned on exploring all day. They did offer to move my stuff for me so I didn't have to come back at noon and they did, seemingly without touching anything but for the rest of my stay the bed I had been in was empty. It seemed very strange. Also the bathroom was not horrible by any means but it was kinda stinky and usually occupied.

Liked: A real positive was having someone on the reception 24hours a day. Also in a central location at the top of the Ramblas but also down a quiet street so able to get a perfect nights sleep.

Disliked: Nowhere to hang clothes, a small rail would be useful. Although this was not a problem in the slightest

Liked: I liked the location, it's near the Plaça da Catalunya, the center where the tour buses begin the trip. It's a cleaned hostel, the bathroom is good.

Disliked: The breakfast isn't included, there isn't a kitchen.

Liked: The perfect location along with the incredibly friendly and helpful staff made our stay at Somnio fantastic. Our private room with bathroom ensuite was modern though charming. I loved Somnio and will definitely book again when I return to Barcelona (hopefully soon!)

Disliked: The only thing that wasn't fantastic was the teeny-tiny shower, though if that's something that's going to bother anyone too much then hostels might not be your thing! Somnio was a great place to stay.

Liked: Location, cleanliness of the shared bathroom was excellent. The staff was helpfull and kind.

Disliked: We had a double private room without an own bathroom, what was not very comfortable and too much money. They did not provide any wardrobe or coat hooks.

Liked: I traveled around Europe for 2 months and this was the best hostel I stayed in. The staff were so nice and friendly, the place was incredibly clean, they had free towels and Internet, and kept my luggage for me after check-out. The location is awesome because it's so close to all the major attractions such as Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. The best thing about this place was that they had air conditioning in the room which I could control. Most other hostels I stayed in throughout Europe did not have air conditioning at all. I definitely recommend Somnio to anyone who is traveling to Barcelona!
