Liked: I really liked the friendly staff, I was offered a glass of cava and invited to meet everyone on arrival. It was lovely and clean and the rooms were really comfortable.

Liked: I regularly stay in hostels around Europe and I can safely say that this is by far the best I have ever been to. The rooms are spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and very secure. If you are using one of the dorm rooms then the lockers are a great size, strong and with a light inside. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers nice and powerful.The location is perfect - 5 mins walk to Placa de Catalunya and lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Finally, the best thing about the place was the staff,- friendly, helpful, full of good advice and fun to talk to. I can guarantee that when I next visit Barcelona, I will be back at Somnio!

Liked: very good central location although directions given to it from hostelbookers were not the most direct/nearest. Clean room with small bathroom (the shower curtain wasn't long enough though so you soaked the floor!). Very helpful and friendly staff. Good decor and atmosphere.

Liked: Very clean, nice rooms, bedding/towels good quality, mirrors/sinks/hooks/shelves in rooms, comfy bed, warm, free internet in the reception, big bathrooms. More like a hotel than a hostel!! Very good value for money.

Liked: The beds are good, rooms are clean and it´s location is perfect. Don´t forget to bring ear-plugs!!! Allthough you don´t hear cars, the doors of the rooms can´t be closed without making a lot of noise. If you don´t mind beiing waked up by the doors about 10 times a night, this is a perfect hostel.

Liked: Pro:++ The Hostel is located in the heart of BCN. ++ The staff was very friendly and helpful if questions emerged.++ Rooms & toilets clean.++ Comfortable beds (!)++ 24h reception (hello partyanimals)++ Moderate pricesContra:-- Shower & WC in the same room --> Often all toilets were taken-- Lack of a lounge (apart from limited space at the reception [table & 5 armchairs])

Liked: The hostel was renovated recently. Thus, the furniture is quite new. In addition, the shared bathroom is cleaned daily and is very clean. The most attraction for me is the free wireless internet access.

Liked: the hostel is very clean and safe, staff - very helpful and smiley. Definitely not a place to drink all night through or meet random freaky people. You will have all the rest you want, very good night's sleep, located at a quiet street, not far away from La Rambla.

Liked: Helpful staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, and terrific location. It owuld be nice to have a self-service kitchen but the staff was more than gracious in accomodating my requests. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and others.
