Liked: This place is a clean, college dorm. The facilities are nice and new and we enjoyed the kitchen in the room. However, the rooms got a bit hot since there's no AC and the computers are outdated and s...l...o...w. The staff also seemed reluctant to help at times.

Liked: It has a great location, and the rooms are clean and the locks are very secure. There are lockers available if you wanted to store your passport, etc. although we didn't think it neccessary. It is nice and quiet, with lots of sofas around and a large computer room, pool table and football table. Very near to a supermarket, and the kitchen is fine, although no oven or microwave, so we had to fry some croissants! The only problem we did have, was that the rooms were extremely hot at the time of year (August), and we had a fan in the room which wasn't particularly great, so I would suggest booking an air-conditioned room, which isn't much more expensive. All in all, a great stay!!

Liked: Excellent place with outstanding value for money. Included in our rooms were kitchen facility and en suite bathroom.. and all for the price of a hostel room elsewhere in the city! Reasonably large supermarket nearby means you can pick up some local ingredients and make a meal at home should you wish. Also, excellent location for those needing to be close to Barcelona's north bus terminal. All in all excellent value for money, and would definetely stay there again.

Liked: free internet. about 15 - 20 minutes away from the beach. working stove and two fridge. I did not like how it did not have a/c and the location of our room does not get alot of air.

Liked: La Ciutadella Residence was a very good place to stay during my trip. I would certainly go back next time I stay in Barcelona. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very pleasant.

Liked: This university camp is close to bus station and it is located between two parks. In every room there are kitchen facilities so it is possible to buy half-ready local foood in nearby discount market and prepare the meal by yourself. Cheaper and taster. However it is about 25 minutes walk to Ramblas so the main atractions

Liked: The main asset of La Citadella Residence is its location. It is very easy to get there from the airport by train - just jumping from the airport train to the other going to Franca railway station. The hostel is in a close neighbourhood to numerous city attractions which can be explored from the place on foot. For those who want to travel to other destinations in Catalunya, the neigbouring Nord station is a start. The other advantage is the kitchenette, however it is time to replace the old kitchen utensils by the new ones.As the window must be open at night because of the summer heat and the lack of the airconditioning, it happens to be too noisy sometimes.All in all, it is still a value for money.

Liked: Great place to stay if you are travelling with friends and would like your own room. For the price of a dorm bed, you get an ensuite and your own kitchen in these university halls. It did get very hot at night, but I personally did not find this uncomfortable. If you are looking to meet people, it's not so great as you're not sharing rooms / facilities. It's within walking distance of the beach and the barri gothic. 5 minutes walk from arc de triumf metro station.

Liked: We stayed for 5 nights there on Aug 09. The place itself is a university dormitory, which is pretty fine for young people, but maybe not appropriate for older ones. Our room was nice, quiet and with a shower+wc. However, there were two things, which could be better: the room was not visited by a cleaner during our stay (and there were no tools to clean it myself) and air-conditiong is missing badly here, due to the concrete structure of the building. Neverthelles, good value for money, good location.

Liked: I really enjoyed the comfort of our room in La Ciutadella, the fact that it was close to the centre and not far from a metro station and a tram stop. The staff was helpful and friendly and our belongings were safe. I can't judge about meeting people because that wasn't the purpose of our stay.

Liked: The hostel was very clean and neat, the staff was kinda sassy but not unfriendly. There is no cooling system outside of the one fan in the room and that was a bummer, but on the plus side we got a kitchen we didn't hope for with a working fridge.

Liked: Great value for money. Nice to have ensuit bedroom and a kitchen + fridge. Save money on food especially for budget travelers. Within walking distance to a lot of place interest - park, beach... near Metro. But, is hot during the summer even with the not so good functioning fan... would be perfect to have a better ceiling fan rather than a stand fan and perhaps air-con would be nice.

Liked: Very secure, Internet in room if you could get it to work using a LAN cord to the wall socket. 10 mins walk to Las Rambles, and 5 min walk to Gothic Quarter. Train station a 10 min walk across park, althogh, thanfully we didnt choose to do that walk when we needed to get there with our backpacks on, that would have been hell. Only downer about having a kitchen was there were no cloths or sponges to clean any of the cutlery or pans with.Nice place. Would stay again.
