Important Information

• People under 18 years old are not allowed to stay. • Not pets allowed. • Smoking is not permitted in rooms and other closed areas. To ensure we provide all guests with a fantastic atmosphere, for reservations of 10 people or more special conditions will apply: - The hostel will contact the client to arrange 25% prepayment of the booking. This amount will be deducted of the final balance. This prepayment is non-refundable. - The total payment of the booking should be made by bank transfer or credit card, eight (8) days before the arrival of the group. - The hostel reserves the right to cancel any group booking whose full payment has not been received 8 days before the arrival date. - The hostel will send a document containing behaviour house rules that the client will have to accept via email. - No cancelation or amendment will be accepted with less than 8 days prior to arrival. Any cancelation or amendment outside this period will incur in a 100% cancelation charge. - Failure to comply with any of the conditions above will result in your booking being cancelled. Please note: For reservations arriving from 1st of Nov 2012 a tourist tax of 0.75€ per person per night with a will apply for the first 7 nights.

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 days before arrival (local time). Payments made to HostelBookers are non-refundable.

About Melon District Residence Poble Sec

Melon District Poble Sec is a student residence and a new concept of accommodation for young travelers who are looking for a place to stay in Barcelona.
Located on the well-known Parallel Avenue, and just 10 minutes walking distance to the city center, Melon District offers private single and twin rooms for daily stays with a small private bathroom and a shared cooking lounge to cook socialise with others and relax. The residence boasts a pool and a solarium on the roof so guests can enjoy the mild Barcelona weather during the summer season. The warm multicultural atmosphere is created through the international students who are coming to Barcelona to study or work for longer periods, or who are just dropping by for a holiday. A bilingual staff (English / Spanish) will welcome you at the meeting lounge.

Rooms:
Melon District offers double and twin rooms.

Towels and bed linen are provided, but the room cleaning service is only available for stays of 6 nights or more.

We are located on 101 Parallel Avenue (on the corner of Blasco de Garay Street in the neighborhood of Poble Sec), just 10 minutes walking distance to the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas and Barcelona's Ciutat Vella district. Once there, you can visit the Barri Gòtic, the city's medieval core, and find yourself in a maze of narrow alleyways clustered around the splendid gothic Cathedral of Barcelona. Quirky shops, tastefully decorated bars, and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat.
