Hongsi Guesthouse

Hongsi is a fully mellowed persimmon which has been a favorite traditional food in Korea. We call it Hongsi or Kachibob. Kachibob means we have always left some of them for birds-one of birds' names is Kachi-on the trees after harvesting them in fall. We have believed the sound of this bird in the morning could attract pleasant guests from everywhere.

That's why we call it Hongsi which has connotations of warmth and sharing, so we want to share same feeling with guests.

We really would like to invite lots of friends who love arts and cultures from all over the world.

Accommodation Information

Standard 2 bed mixed dorm:
Ensuite, dormitory style, for 1 bunk-bed. The room is for both genders. 1 bunk bed, including private bathroom, kitchenette, private locker, partly furnished.

Standard 3 bed female dorm:
Dormitory style, for 3 single beds. The room is for female use only. Share bathroom with a 4 bedroom (also female only) which is right next to it. Hair drier, toiletries and private lockers included.

Standard 4 bed female dorm:
Dormitory style, for 4 single beds. The room is for female use only. Share bathroom with a 4 bedroom (also female only) which is right next to it. Hair driers, toiletries, private lockers included.

Standard 6 bed female dorm:
Dormitory style. For 3 bunk-beds. The room is for female use only. Includes private bathroom, a hair drier, toiletries, private lockers.

Standard 10 bed female dorm:
Dormitory style. For 5 bunk-beds. The room is for female use only. Includes private bathroom, a hair drier, toiletries, private lockers.

Location Information

Hongsi is located in Shinchon near Hongik-University. Within walking distance from the famous Hongdae club area. Easy to access to most famous places such as museums or galleries by public transportation in Seoul. Close to Insadong, Kyungbok Palace, and suburbs of Seoul.
