Liked: I agree with the other reviews on the site regarding the owners. They were helpful and friendly - one of the owners gave me suggestions for sightseeing around Seoul and I had coffee with the other one on the morning that I left.

Disliked: I agree with other reviews that it was hard to find. The written directions on hostelbookers.com are right when coming from the Beotigogae station until step #6. It says "when you find parking zone turn right your head." I would say: 6. Right after you pass the small market and the church sign, look to your right and you will see an alley sloping downward. Turn right into the alley (on foot - cars are not allowed) and go up the stairs. 7. At the top of the stairs, there is a small "Happy House" sign on the door of one of the buildings on your right. This area seemed safe, but even so I would note that traveling alone as a woman, I felt a little uncomfortable walking home at night. There were not too many people around as the alley in front of the Happy House is not accessible by car. However, if you are a man or are traveling with one or more friends, then I would say the location is perfectly fine.

Liked: Great location and nice facilities for the price! A top Guesthouse!

Liked: This was a great place to stay! It is very close to the subway! It is also very close to Insadong, Itaewon, Myeongdong, and the train stations. The woman is very friendly and helpful! It is a very clean hostel as well. I would recommend this place to everyone and I look forward to staying again!

Disliked: The only downside to this property is that it was a little difficult to find at first. The directions on the site are good but there is a little extra turn that is not said. We called the hostel and woman who runs it, ran to the Subway to get us and show us the way. She was great! There is also only one bathroom, it is ok if you don't all wake up at the same time, but if you do plan to wait a little while!

Liked: The owner was really friendly and attentive. He called us to make sure we were going to check in at the time we'd said, and when we took a wrong turn walking from the subway (our fault as we read the directions wrong) he walked down and found us and led us to the guest house.

Disliked: We had a hard time getting a taxi back but that had more to do with where we were going from than the guest house. It's only a few thousand won taxi ride to Itaewon from the guest house and right by the subway to get everywhere else.

Liked: The place was very clean and had great comfortable beds. Our room had a tv, fridge, and lockers. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. It is a great value for the price and is one of the nicest and coziest places I've ever stayed.

Disliked: The hostel is in a pretty central location to many attractions, but it is a tough walk up and down hills to get to the hostel. The hostel is also very difficult to find. We had trouble finding it several times.

Liked: It's located a 5 min walk from Namsan park, so it's the perfect location- it's also in a quiet neighbourhood. The owners get by on their english- and they are willing to help you with practically everything. The owners mother(she is the real boss, like in all asian families) makes great food. It's also clean, and the dorms are nice. Stay there! :)

Disliked: Staying in the all-girls room ment having to wait forever to use the bathroom.

Liked: Great, great service and the proprietors are so friendly.

Disliked: To be honest I got lost looking for it from the subway station (I also have a horrible sense of direction). But they provide you with maps and they are willing to come and pick you up if you need it.
