Liked: Banana Backpackers is really lovely, its painted brightly, the rooms are a good size and comfortable. The hostel thinks of everything, and provides lots of little extras that make it a more preasurable stay. International calls are cheap, great location.

Disliked: nothing really, i think i could live here!

Disliked: My room had an unpleasant smell... Ive stayed at several hostels in Seoul, you could get a lot better for the same amout of money.

Liked: Loved it! Everything was really good - friendly, helpful staff; welcoming atmosphere; very clean; and loads of free facilities such as computers and laundry room. Location is very quiet and in the heart of the city's cultural centre near Insadong and the palaces. A great place to stay!

Liked: Excellent location, very close to major subway station which is a good link point to the rest of the city. Free laundry. Free tea and coffee. Super-cold air conditioning. Plenty of computers.

Disliked: Nothing! I guess some people might think the air conditioning was TOO cold, but I loved it.

Liked: I liked the ambience. The place had lots of backpackers... Good location.

Disliked: I saw a HUGE cockroach. I told the check-in lady and she sprayed repellant on it. I hate roaches and I hope that there are few of them there! The hostel smelled a bit bad upstairs... very mildewy and kind of rotteny... The upstairs portion really needs some good sanitation. I think that the lady's wastebin should be scrubbed down daily as many ladies put their soiled tissues inside each day.... and there were no plastic bags inside of it when I was there to keep the bin from getting potential urine and fecal matter on it.

Liked: Nice place, well located, next to a vibrant part of Seoul (markets, traditional restaurants, modern art, gallery INSA). A really friendly staff, helpful and speaking english. Having free internet is really useful.

Liked: Great location. Comfortable beds. Huge locker for larger luggage. Free: showers, sheets, towels, laundry; free and fast internet, functional kitchen and fridge and microwave. Nothing was lacking.

Liked: free internet and hairdryers,adapters and convertors all available as well as extra blankets and hot showers.Also cheapinternational calls can be made here.Staff friendly and helpful.However directions are very poor and difficult to follow

Liked: A very lovely place. The dorm was spacious and clean. The window in the bathroom didn't close properly (or at least I coudn't close it completely) which could be a problem in the winter. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff were friendly and helped booking tours etc. I met some nice people at Backbackers and I would definitely stay there again and I gladly recommend it to others.

Liked: A really cute hostel that might be a bit difficult to find if you misread the directions but is near the major palace in Seoul. Don't be worried when you first get there-- it might look like it's in the middle of nowhere but right across the street is a major artistic community with lots of cafes and galleries and it's close location to a subway station makes it really easy to get around. If you don't feel like taking the subway, it's a close walk to the president's house, several other palaces and the Japanese prison.

Liked: Despite being in the process of refitting the kitchen, the hostel still provided us with free breakfast (toast yipee!). There was also free internet access and the staff were always helpful with queries, booking tours to the DMZ etc...

Liked: Very cute little colorful place to stay. Would do it again anytime. Can recomment it. Was winter and a little bit cold inside sometimes. Very cute dog. Very friendly staff. Met lots of nice people from all over the world.
