Liked: This is the second time I've stayed at Golden Pond. Lots has changed since I was last here (more rooms and different buildings), but the staff are as lovely as ever! The mezzanine/balcony arrangement made a nice spot for breakfast in the sun on those slightly warmer days too.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: A lovely two-storey house. Relaxed living area. Comfy beds in the dorms. Eccentric pet bird. Terrace where you could relax and get some fresh air. Short walk from the subway station.

Disliked: At first, it takes a while to find. Once you know where it is, it's easy to walk there from the subway, but when you've just gotten there, the address (like many in Seoul) seems pretty esoteric. However, they really do have no problem picking travellers up from the subway station at just about any time of the day or night.

Liked: Good location, friendly staff, quiet place.

Disliked: During the raining, some rain entered the central hall of the building, so it was a little bit annoying. Also, the value of the price you pay is not good.

Liked: Good location, quiet street. Good Wifi access in the room.

Disliked: We were in a double room in an annexe away from the main hostel so didn't really meet anyone or experience the hostel itself, but not sure if this is the same for dorms or other rooms.

Liked: we had fantastic 4 nights at the golden pond full points - staff, location - everything perfect

Liked: The location is good, near lots of restaurants, a cinema and a metro station. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Disliked: We stayed for ten days and in that time nobody emptied our bins or changed our sheets. Often there were no staff about, even when we needed to check out. The washing machine and dryer were in constant use and it took us two days before we were finally able to use them.

Liked: People who work theire...very nice and so helpful people.

Disliked: Bathroom, I'm tall and up than 1m80 is quite difficult to use the toilet...but for few days it's okay.

Liked: It's so good to visit this place if you come to South Korea and You still confuse in looking for guesthouse,,,,And My suggestion is You must choose Golden Pond Guesthouse,,No doubt to choose this place Cause it's really cozy to stay some days in Korea... Pleeaaaaassseee Choose Golden Pond GuestHouse Ok!!!!

Liked: GoldenPond is extremely comfortable and cosy. We are enjoying our stay tremendously! This property is located very near the subway, with many choices of cheap eateries within a stone's throw. What makes the Guesthouse special is the very friendly staff, especially MiJung with her help with the language barrier and for booking of our air tickets to Jeju!

Liked: the area is really nice, shops, bars and university students. hostel is in a quiet street. the shared bathroom rooms are in a smaller building, the ensuites in the main. nice common room, lots of dvds and big tv. they made a stubid messup with our request to stay one more night :(but nice place, i recommend!

Liked: Brilliant from start to finish ! The staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel very much at home. The rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable - perfect during the winter months ! The location is ideal - a stone's throw away from where it's all happening in this festive student-dominated, restaurant and shop-filled area of Seoul ! The shuttle bus fro Incehon is just opposite and the tube for Gimpo is just around the corner - perfect ! Despite being in the thick of things its nestled in calm and quiet back street so you have no trouble sleeping ! The communal area is comfy with internet access and spacious enough to meet the other guests. It also has a little kitchen area where you can cook up whatever you like, an excellent dvd collection and a nice collection of books in English ! I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul !

Liked: The staff, the location, everything really. The owner was particularly nice and helpful. First she moved me into a bigger room with an ensuite despite paying for a small single room as it was free without me asking. Then when I extended my stay she gave me a 10% discount on my stay. Again I didn't ask and would have happily paid full price anyway. Really great people.
