Liked: Location and the friendly owner.

Disliked: The room was not clean.

Liked: The owners were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond what we usually expect. A great credit to them. Super friendly and super helpful. A lot of extras are possible, such as a very nice western style breakfast, calligraphy and a few other things advertised on the notice board.

Disliked: The place is old, but in saying that, everything that you needed in accommodation was there.

Liked: This is a unique place! Mr. Kwon and his family are VERY friendly and helpful. They truly make you feel like welcome guests in their home. The place is in a great location and is as cheap a bed as you can find in Gyeongju. Also the rooftop and garden were very nice!

Disliked: It's a bit old and rundown and lacks a feeling of security. However, I doubt you'll beat it considering the price!

Liked: The owner spoke really good English and had his own maps. He is quite knowledgeable on which sights we should see first depending on how much time we have. The place is really near a lot of places as well as transport.

Disliked: It could do with a minor room renovations.

Liked: Extremely helpful staff, very friendly with local info and travel tips, they also spoke english very well. This place was a much more pleasant stay than a couple of 3 star hotels we stayed at on the same trip, so it was great value for money.

Disliked: The bed was a little lumpy.

Liked: The hostel was located in a convenient location, really close to the bus terminal. It was really dated and the room may have been clean, but it was certainly in rough shape. There weren't a lot of "freebies" and internet did cost 1000 won for 20 minutes. The owners were very friendly, though.

Disliked: The place could certainly use updating. I booked a private room and it was in need of some more cleaning and updating. The bathroom, especially, could use some work.

Liked: We gave it one night and decided to stay because we thought we wouldn't do much better for the money. Nothing bit us and we slept OK

Disliked: It is a very basic hostel. So for example the double bed was resting on plastic crates, with one mattress on the floor. There were some hooks on a wall and one small chest in a corner. No other furniture. The bathroom was tiled, but gloomy, and the shower was cold most of the time. Nothing was really clean.

Liked: The friendly and helping staff is a very good thing on this hostel. Also, there are many nice people traveling and staying at this hostel and you will definetely meet with some of them in the hostel and sit, drink and talk with them

Disliked: Quiet high price, comparing to the things you get.

Liked: Mr Kwon is no longer running the hostel, but it remains within the family who after living overseas for decades can speak English/French fluently. They are very helpful and friendly and provide a great map of the area, with bus no's and directions. The hostel is a bit dated, but that adds to the character of the place. His family made us feel very welcome even though they are still learning the hostel trade.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The location and the building : it is an old hostel with charm

Disliked: The hostel owner tried to make me pay more than advertised on hostelbookers and when I told him, he told me it was because of currency fluctuations. I do not believe this because he puts the price in KRW and I paid him in KRW.

Liked: Had everything you need and the staff was very helpful. Convenient location from the Bus Terminal.

Disliked: Location is a bit loud because there is a bar right opposite.

Disliked: Even though I booked online and RE-CONFIRMED via email, receiving confirmation from Mr. Kwon, he DOUBLE BOOKED us and we were unable to stay in the hostel. He DID NOT APOLOGIZE.

Liked: very near the bus station - within walking distance. the convenience shop is nearby. the owner is very helpful in providing the info i needed in gyeongju.

Disliked: the shower

Liked: The owner is so helpful and friendly, he helped us with local information and even leant his coat to my friend when it was colder than we expected. The location was excellent and the rooms were clean. I'd stay again.

Disliked: The only downside is that the property is dated. Although it is very clean and well kept, the facilities are old which may disuade some travellers. It you want a brand new shower block and brand new rooms you wont find them here. You'll find a clean, friendly, well located hostel that hasnt been renovated in a long time.
