Swellendam Backpackers is situated in the lovely and safe Swellendam and is centrally located to all of the adventure activities of the Overberg. After an action packed day you can relax, refresh and recharge your batteries in the large garden overlooking the Langeberg Mountains or around the fire. Accommodation Information

Swellendam Backpackers offer a wide range of accommodation options. A large garden fringed by a gurgling mountain stream for campers. Cabin dwellers, dormitory snoozers and en-suite preferences.

We have 5 cabins and a dormitory (that sleeps 10) in a large bird filled garden amongst shady trees. Three newly upgraded en-suite rooms that offer private entrances.

We offer dinner and breakfast in the main house, Bistro style meals, and home cooked and very good.
A pool table in the main house for some evening games. We are fully licensed and serve wines from the region and various South African beers.

We depart for horse riding every morning at 09h00 and 15h00. Day trips to the Bontebok National Park, De Hoop Nature Reserve and Cape Agulhas. It is advised to contact me well in advance so I can forward the weekly schedule for these trips as it is an independent operator to book with.
