Friends Accommodation Services has all the charm of a country house but is situated in the city, in the heart of Brooklyn, Pretoria.

We have been accommodating international exchange students and post-graduates since 2000. Many of these students come to Pretoria for various internships- our latest guest-students are working at the Centre of Human Rights. During your stay here you will get to know so much about South Africa's culture, people and history.

Our rooms are fully furnished with bedding and everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The accomodation comprises of a cosy living room with satellite television, video and DVD player and a fully-fitted kitchen for your use. Milk, sugar, tea, coffee, bread and rusks are always available. All communal areas are cleaned daily and rooms are cleaned once a week. We also have a swimming pool. If you have your own laptop, wireless broadband internet is available.

Accommodation Information

We have a Dormitory Room that can accommodate 8 people, with sufficient hanger space for clothes, a lounge area with comfortable chairs and a private bathroom. We also offer (6) six additional private rooms that are either furnished with a Double Bed (R 250.00 for the 1st person and R 140.00 for the 2nd. Please note: reserved for couples only), or 2 Single Beds furnished with a clothes closet/cupboard , a working table and chair, a lampstand, linens and duvè bedding are supplied. Facilities such as a television, satellite and DVD players are shared among peers in the living room. Amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms are also shared.

Location Information

We are walking distance to the University of Pretoria and the business / shopping centers of Brooklyn Mall, Cherry Lane and Hillcrest Boulevard, Bird and Nature Parks, prominent Primary – and Secondary Schools, Tennis Clubs, a 5 minute drive from Pretoria and Waterkloof Gholf Country Club, various Embassies and Loftus Versfeld (Main Rugby/ Soccer Stadium of Pretoria).
