Pretoria Backpackers and Travelers Lodge serves as an excellent base from which to explore the areas around Pretoria and Joburg. Feel the rhythm and the pulse of City life or just relax around the fire place after a hectic day.

Pretoria Backpackers is a family concern that has been running for over 16 years. Over this time we've created a home away from home for all travelers, backpackers, youth hostellers and budget travelers.

Small, clean and friendly travelers lodge situated in a residential area with great personal service.

We are conveniently located with in easy walking access to the Union Buildings, Hatfield and the city centre.

The lodge is kept immaculately clean and staff is friendly and helpful.

Jo'burg Airport Shuttle (booking essential)

The on site travel centre is open daily to help with all your needs.

All are welcome, individuals, small groups & families.

We have a wack of information on Pretoria and surroundings.

You can walk, rent a car to visit the sites or jump on a budget hostel tour with some fellow travelers

A small business only running with 17 rooms can still guarantee you to a lovely stay. Be sure to contact us to book that room that would most suit you.

No bunkbeds and no dorms bigger than 2 beds per room.
Very comfortable double and single rooms

The lodge is constantly been up graded with fresh amenities which include towels, tea and coffee stations in the rooms and color TV's with fans for the summer heat and heaters for the winter chill - with us you won't sleep cold this winter

Location Information

We are situated in Clydesdale, 50 m from the stadium, walking distance from great places to see. We are conveniently located with in easy walking access to the Union Buildings, Hatfield and the city centre.

'Hop on Hop off' city tour for as little as R 60
Joburg Apartheids Museum and Soweto trip for R 450
Joburg Airport ( 40 min away ) pick ups are free @ 9 am,12 am 3 pm and 6 pm though it must be booked with them in advance .
Pretoria with its 33 museums and 65 000 students are bound to surprise the most adventures or thirsty traveler.
