Liked: Mossel Bay Backpackers was a great place to call home while starting off a trip down the Garden Route. The staff are top notch, offering all of the information you need to enjoy a visit to the Bay, while fostering an enviornment in the hostel that makes you feel right at home. The facilities offered a great chill room to meet other travellers with several smaller areas if you wanted to hang with your mate or relax by the pool. The unadvertised free Wi-Fi out back was a big plus!

Liked: Beautifully appointed rooms at very reasonable prices - a great courtyard with swimming pool, and very nicely located within easy reach of town restaurants and the beautiful 'point' with beach and seaside dining options.

Liked: great location close walking distance to beach. Lots of activity choices.

Disliked: music started playing about 7am... a bit early to be woken up.

Liked: Nice average place to meet fellow travellers. BazBus stop if you use them. Safe place as the whole Mossel Bay is too.

Disliked: Quite far from the sandy beaches and the bus stop. Not too close to the center of the town too. No free transport provided - instead you have to pay ridiculously high sum for taxi. The sum I paid for the taxi (from and to the bus station) both ways was almost the same as the one for accommodation. The staff seems to disappear white often, especially when you need them. The floor under my bed where is the locker frame was dusty. Probably they cleaned it the previous year....

Liked: The staff were all excellent and went out of there way to help us and make sure we had a great time. It was in the town centre though it was quiet enough so that sleep was eay.
