Zoo Lodge is the safest, friendliest backpacker in Jo'burg. We offer clean, comfortable accommodation for the budget traveller. Make a booking in our travel centre and see Africa the affordable way.
We are located in the lush Northern Suburbs, 7km from the city centre, in one of the safest suburbs in Jo'burg. A delightful shopping mall is just around the corner. The bus and train stations are only ten minutes away by car for those wishing to travel on. Jan Smuts Avenue is the main transport route running north-south through Jo'burg with buses that stop on our doorstep.
The Patio next to the large pool catches the suns rays all day long and is ideal for tanning. On Sundays we "BRAAI" or Barbeque. For the Carnivores, Steaks and "Boerewors" are the order of the day. For the Veggies try out our African-style salads. The garden lights set the stage for the lads and gals to chat and drink around the fire late into the night.
We have over 100 tours to choose from or get the best rates on car hire and overland expeditions. See our fly in Safaris to the Mozambique Islands, Victoria Falls, Okavango Delta, and Namibia.
Budget Packages available to see the Gorilla's in Uganda, the source of the Nile, Kenya, the Masai Mara, Serengeti, Dar es Salaam and the Spice Islands.
