Closest to Hluhluwe iMfolozi National Park, situated next to the famous & incredible Game Reserve, we call the Big 5 our neighbors. (2 min to main gate) Enjoy a stunning 360 degree panoramic view into real, rural Zululand.

We offer a very warm and homely atmosphere in a unique and peaceful environment. Our main house has comfortable and cozy double rooms, nicely decorated. Our outside Chalet with double bed offers you lots of privacy.

Hluhluwe Backpackers is set up in a very peaceful environment. Surrounded only by a few Zulu huts in the distance and the hills of the National Park. Lots of space for camping and caravans (with light and plug points) in the shade of many Marula trees and the chameleon forest. Shower and toilets. All new and stylish renovated, nicely and uniquely decorated and with rustic wooden furniture. There are lots of things to do and to see and we recommend you to join us on one of our Open Vehicle Game Drives into the Game Reserve conducted by professional Field Guides

Accommodation Information

Our Dorm consists of 12 bunk beds. And for some more "adventure" we rent out 2 stationary parked caravans (as single, twin or double) with a view into the park. Our kitchen is very well equipped with all cutlery, crockery and utensils, there are gas stoves, fridge and freezer, microwave etc....and if you are not in the mood for cooking, let us spoil you with one of our tasty home cooked meals.

Location Information

We offer Zulu Cultural Tours, tours to St Lucia Estuary, Sodwana Bay or snorkeling, etc. Day at the beach in Cape Vidal - Lots to do!!!
