Monkey Bay Backpackers embraces the laid-back ocean based lifestyle everyone dreams of. Who can take life too serious in the subtropical weather with the warm Indian Ocean, masses of banana palms and miles of sandy beaches.

This small and friendly backpackers is located in a cheerful old house renovated to the owners own creative style. It has a massive garden with two braai facilities behind the house where we build roaring fires. You can chill on the hammocks, or take an outside shower.

Our deck in front of the house is perfect for relaxing in the sun and also equipped with a braai facility. So stay here and convert your time spent with us into the best memories ever made!

We have also started the barefoot Bundu trail, a two hour scenic route with interesting history and a bit of an adrenalin rush!

We have 32 Dorm Style Rooms and 2 Private Style rooms also Cater for 3 Campsites, We provide 2 entertainment areas to enjoy the time with fellow holiday makers, sharing and swapping stories.

Our surf shop is available on site for those guests who want to take time out on the beach, which is no more than a stone's throw away.

With famous Restaurants Like "Mozambik" near to Monkey Bay Backpackers offering good seafood dishes to tantalize your taste buds.

As evening comes and the local night life gets going its party time in the village with a number of night clubs and pubs for you to visit.
