We stayed here for two weeks and found it to be the best hostel we have stayed in yet. The staff were friendly and very helpful with booking trips. The rooms were clean and linen and towels changed every 2/3 days. The only thing which could be improved would be heating in the rooms. We sometimes found it quite chilly.
The location is good and central and is only a short walk to restraunts and bars.
The bar served a good selection of food and drink and it had a lovely cosy atmosphere. It was a great place to meet people.
We stayed there in September and would highly recomend this hostel.

The Cafe/bar is full of variety and the staff is very accommodating and more than willing to make an effort to be helpful. The rooms and beds are clean and extremely comfortable.

The Backpack is THE place to stay when in Cape Town. Not only did I get to wake up the most incredible view of Table Mountain every day, I got to meet really nice people from all over the world. I arrived alone (and scared I will be alone for the whole duration of my trip here) but within one hour I had made some really good friends and 30 minutes later I was on Table Mountain with them. The staff are all wonderful and incredibly in tune with how to make the hostel a warm, friendly place by putting on drum nights and the weekly braais - which are not to miss at all!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location good, ask for a quiet room not facing road. Bar and food very nice to have on premises.

I was so surprised to see that the hostel was exactly as described on various websites and in Let's Go. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I truly enjoyed my stay.

all the workers atg this hostle were very helpfull at any time i needed them ansd would always go the extra mile fine me the best deals on the things i wanted to do and delievered every time. the cleaners were friendly and helpfull and and the bar staff had a passion for life that reflected the true nature of travelling not to mention a little mental. Backpackerts has a never ending friendly vibe that i absorbed by all that stay there. every worker new me name and and drink prefferance. I will definitily be going back
