Liked: i did NOT like the live bands in the hostel. There are mant bars where you can go to... You can only sleep in the hostel, but NOT when there is live music, wich is very loud... I like to party, but when i want to... The twin room was very very small...

Liked: It is right in the middle of all the action. At night, there are fun things happening every night up and down Long Street, including in the hostel itself. They go out of their way to arrange any kind of day trip or tour that you could want. The staff were helpful and accomodating at all times and actually even partied with us in the hostel bar. The dorm rooms were clean and spacious by hostel standards and the bathrooms were kept immaculate. My only complaint is in the noise level. DO NOT stay here if you don't plan to party. The hostel bar is going strong until at least 2am every night, and depending on the location of your room, that might be a problem.

Liked: it is in one of the best locations for anyone who likes the social life, however this does mean that it is rather nosy, but well worth it for the fun to be had!!! the staff were great and the bar means that its really easy to met backpackers. had a great time.

Liked: The staff is amazing and very helpfull!!!! The rooms are clean, there's a lovely bar and a big balcony, where you can meet locals and other travellers.There's bands playing twice a week and it's always a great atmosphere.I would recommend this hostel to anyone who would like a real taste of Cape Town and meet wonderful people....Remember Carnival Court is situated on famous Long Street, perfect position but at the same time a lively noisy street...., but it's all well worth it!!I'm defenitely going to come back each time I visit Cape Town!!! It was the perfect holiday!

Liked: Great staff who pointed me to all the great things to see in Cape Town, arranging tours and took time from their hectic duties at the desk to have a chat - could not have asked for nicer people. Long Street is a busy, often noisy street, but that's what makes it fun. When I didn't want to join the happenings in the bar or buzz on the street, my mp3 player or their complimentary earplugs came in handy. The staff is also wonderfully social and introduced me to their friends and other guests, which broke the social ice. Kitchens, bathrooms and common areas were fastidiously clean. This is a fun, funky spot in the heart of it all - I can't wait to return!

Liked: Good location, close to all amenities, friendly atmosphere. But incredibly noisy at night in dorms, as the bar/music is right next door to dorm rooms, and it's loud till about 3am...if you have earplugs it's fine- that was my only issue. Clean bathrooms, good kitchens, bit of a walk to a decent supermarket, but a small convenience store practically next door. Overall a really good stay.

Liked: The staff are so knowledgeable compared to all the other hostels I stayed in - particulraly the South African lady, who was awesome! She helped me and my girlfriend pretty much plan our whole trip and it couldnt have been better - staff working there are definitely the best!!!!!
