Liked: Perfect place to meet people and party, if you want to. If not, you will find a quiet corner to read or sleep as well. Also, optimally located to explore city and nightlife because of its adress on Longstreet. If you have any question, the staff is more than willing to help you and 'll give you all information you need. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are enough bathrooms, so that you almost never have to wait. For all this reasons one of the best places I've been to during my travels!

Liked: Genuinely excellent hostel - really enjoyed my stay. Right in the middle of the action on Long Street, but nice enough upstairs so you can relax when you get home. Has an indoor bar and a lounge/pool table area; as well as a rooftop bar which they opened for a v good New Years Eve party, and also a barbecue one of the other nights. Staff are very friendly and we actually went out with them into town one night, there are always tours and events advertised, and it's very safe. Awesome.

Liked: Was great that the bedrooms were away from the kitchen and bar areas. A very quiet location, but right in the heart of Long Street. Only downside was the rooms lacked ventilation, with no opening windows (we were in a dorm room). Would definitely stay there again if back in Cape Town.

Liked: Good location, as not far from airport and close to all amenities. The street that it is located could be a little more desirable. But all in all a very pleasant stay.

Liked: This backpackers was amazing - one of the best we have ever stayed, great location, very helpful and fun staff, great accommodation, kitchen facilities. Book in and it will be your best decision in Cape Town

Liked: Penthouse is a great hostel! Strongly recommend it! Fantastic staff and a very welcoming atmosphere! The rooms are very clean and tidy, as are the bathrooms! The kitchen has everything you need and more! The lounge upstairs is a great place to meet and hang out with other backpackers or even go on up on the roof and enjoy their braai night! They offer a great range of tours as well, including the Cape Point tour! Great day out! If you want to know more about South Africa and Cape Town then speak to Bruce! We planned to stay 6 nights and ended up staying 12!
