Liked: it is right on the main street in town near the 2' 6' bar! Hostel is immaculate, comfy pillows and beds, balcony overlooks the dockyard - this is my second stay here

Liked: It had a very basic decor but was full of character, very clean. Handy location right in the middle of town, close to shops and restaurants and 2 minute drive from the penguins!

Liked: Fantastic!!!! Thought I was in paradise! You've got the beach down the road, and the locals were INCREDIBLY friendly. I plan on retiring in that town if possible.

Liked: It was more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. Beautifully decorated, great little bar and top beds!

Disliked: The wooden floors and open plan style meant you could hear every noise from your room but apart from that no complaints!

Liked: quiet,and not too far to go in capetown or cape point or wine road!

Disliked: the boss!!! we think he is the boss but he doesn't say hello or bye,only thinkingabout the money in the cash box!!!

Liked: The kitchen was spacious and clean, utilities and a sharing fridge available which was great. Saucepans, frying pans, toaster, bowels etc all available for use which was super.

Disliked: Limited parking but we went during worldcup time so it was a battle for a spot. The staff were the least bit friendly. When we checked in, the fella (we dont even know his name because he never gave it to us) wrote a code on a piece of paper and threw it at us. We didnt know what it was for until he saw me scrunch it up and threw it in my bag and he told us. Laundry is charged R40 per bag when we got our entire laundry done for R35 just 5 shops down. Internet is also ridiculously overpriced, there is a cheap internet cafe (R15 per hour) just 2 blocks down. Staff are least bit helpful as they try to ignore you. Hostel is also located up two flights of stairs which is not luggage friendly, but you only carry your bags up there once which isn't entirely bad. They also have boards up with tours and prices available which seems like a plus, but in the price they include (a large) commission, so better to book things yourself.

Liked: Kenneth was friendly and helpful, the location is great and the room was very clean. This may be one of the safest hostel in SA. Would definitely recommend this hostel to the others.
